Hey guys,
Been working on it hard and I've got some progress:
1) Adding Chromatic Star and Chromatic Sphere really suits the need for blue mana on T2 and, of course, draws a card.
2) Removed creatures that dealt 1 damage a time for a more aggressive card, Elusive Spellfist. The ammount of artifacts coming in easy, sometimes for free (Etherium Sculptor), will make it a 4/3, 5/3 and unblockable for the turn. While I can't protect it from black removals that target it, bolts or exile, I usually bounce it back to my hand with Aether Spellbomb. - still use 2 Disciple of the Vault because they're awesome.
3) It's not unusual, however, that you might run out cards in your hand, so Sage of Lat-Nam came in handy. Sacrificing artifacts in exchange for a draw is beautiful, especially when you sacrifice Ichor Wellspring. I love 2 for the price of 1. Also, still on card advantage, I really missed Thoughtcast in here. Typical "blue mana, two draws". Now, 4 maindeck so we don't run outta gas.
4) These new draw alternatives really made the Spellbombs use more effective, since you don't need to "waste" them all for new cards. You can rely on extra 5 life with Sunbeam Spellbomb and a shock with Pyrite Spellbomb. Aether Spellbomb, as mentioned, protects your creatures and slows your opponent down. It's all about timing.
5) Frantic Salvage and Scrapyard Salvo became great finishing moves. Main Phase 2 Scrapyard Salvo for 5 damage after Elusive Spellfist dealt 4 during combat, swung for 9 damage, possibly turn 5. How about another massive strike from our blue Monk? Put all eggs and spellbombs on top of your library and draw a card (at instant speed). Usually done during the end step back to you; the bigger the graveyard, the happier the monk.
6) I guess there should be a big boy amongst all these 1-2 drop. We're talking pauper and artifacts, so I came across Glassdust Hulk and Arsenal Thresher. One is an unblockable creature that gets bigger; a late game Elusive Spellfist. The other is a 2/2 that comes in as a 5/5, 6/6, depends on how many artifacts you got in hand; considering your lands are artifacts, more than 20 eggs and spellbombs in the deck and constant draws, it's, at least, a four mana 4/4. Gotta pick one, but which? - both are artifacts btw, so Etherium Sculptor reduces their cost.
I've been updating the list constantly, so if you've got any comments or suggestions, be sure to post it.
