Energizer Elves is a Legacy Elf deck in that Elves play elves becomes mana engine becomes something game winning quickly.
MAIN MECHANICS:
PLAYSTYLE
Primarily how I have played my deck is around the quick win through the power Weird Harvest gives in tandem with Heritage Druid in which massive search is followed by the phrase "Elves play elves.".
It grants a fairly consistent Turn 4 win while presenting more threats than most anyone can readily deal with and pulling a good 19 - 20+ life off the opponent on turn 3 or 4.
This followed or played in tandem with Craterhoof Behemoth allows for around 100 - 150 more damage on an enemy not prepared for that kind of threat after losing most, if not all, of their life.
However the deck also allows for a slower more defended win through Heedless One, token generation (that quickly gets beyond control), and life loss granted with Shaman of the Pack to weaken an opponent.
The Deck is also designed with a high variability of elves that serve a common purpose thus removing the need for lots of mulligans, which combo decks can be notorious for, and protecting against echoing cards and other widespread penalty cards that elves are often target of. massive shared creature type is still an issue but i think that's a given with elves.
SUCCESS
In local casual and test play against Teir 1 legacy decks it has managed to generally destroy its opposition or hold its own at worst. I plan to take it to local Legacy events to get a good grasp of what I really need for sideboard and see if it really holds up in practice and not just tests against other Teir 1 and 2 Legacy decks.
CHANGES TO BE MADE
the only planned change I have is to change my Llanowar Wastes to Overgrown Tomb thus removing the issue of not being able to bounce Llanowar Wastes for Quirion Ranger and solve the requiring someone building the deck to fork out a ton of money for Bayou problem.
Suggestions are welcome but i want to keep the deck's total cost below 200USD to maintain budget for legacy.
