Limited budget (any card <$50), slower version of Aetherlich.

Always felt Lich's Mastery and Ertai, the Corrupted were interesting cards. Why not use them both in the same deck?

Although based on a CEDH list, this is more of a focused list for power 7-9 decks. Main difference also in the duals and expensive fast rocks which I do not own.

You'll notice the lack of counterspells for Esper, and this is supposed to be made up with the commander's ability, as well as toward more casual metas. In this aspect, I would only counter game-ending plays from the opponents, or protect my own board.

The difference between this and the original Aetherlich build is the absence of Lich, the OG copy of which is too expensive for me. Because of this, key cards like Children of Korlis and Tainted Sigil do not work here.

Wincons:

• Psychosis Crawler with a big heal on a lich deals a ton of damage
• Sickening Dreams (removed) after the big draw to kill all the opponents. The lich triggered ability from taking damage goes on the stack but because of SBA, if all your opponents are dead, this shouldnt be a problem.
• Vizkopa Guildmage with a big heal also deals a ton of damage. Lich not required for this.

Tutor targets:

• Enlightened Tutor . Early game, find sol ring. Mid game, always find Nefarious Lich or Lich's Mastery because this is our main draw. Lategame, find Psychosis Crawler
• Idyllic Tutor. Always find Lich effects, unless you need a pillowfort piece to stop aggro.
• Mystical Tutor. If early game is bad, find Brainstorm. Otherwise, find the other 3 tutors to find lich. If you already have a lich, instead find one of the Stifle effects
• Demonic Tutor Follow above. Always find the lich first, then the stifle. This is the only tutor for Vizkopa Guildmage
• Zur the Enchanter early game, Necropotence, Treacherous Blessing helps you dig further. Otherwise, build up your pillowforts or removal enchantments, depending on boardstate.
• Spellseeker search for Enlightened Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Cyclonic Rift, or any of the stifle effects
