I've always wanted to play control because I have a lot of good friends that I envy that play control. This deck probably looks very similar to a lot of control decks that are out there, but I wanted to build one myself to take to FNM to see if i can learn to use this type of deck. I like having the ability to lock down my opponent by using creature removal so I know where my threats are coming from. Knowing what creatures my opponent is going to play and possibly knowing what my opponent will draw takes out several angles of attack. Being proactive and reactive at the same time.

I had a dimir mill deck on my profile before - turns out that milling should only really be reserved for matches for fun. I was never able to really mill enough before essentially any aggro deck was able to steam roll me on turn 4 or 5. So that inspired me to warp that deck into a control deck.

the strategy is very simple - keep the board clean with removal and as soon as the coast is clear and the dust settles, bring in AEtherling and Blood Baron of Vizkopa. Use Sphinx's Revelation at the end of the opponents turn, should they not cast anything, and bring my hand back to 7 and gain a little life.

Any help on strategy here would be much appreciated!
