Game 1: I was light on interaction, but my opponent fizzled by not drawing any green cards for nourishing shoal, and he had to scoop it up as a result.
Game 2: Turn 2 RIP on the play shut his deck's main plan off, and after I extracted griselbrand, I won wth Gideon beats.
Eldrazi Tron 2-0
Game 1: Discard, removal, and wrath effects made me able to keep up with my opponent's eldrazi cards, I was able to stabalize with Gideon and shambles and won the game.

GR Tron 1-2
Game 1: No LD, got turn 3 Karned

Game 2: Discard with no leyline to worry about made this matchuo pretty easy, just take dreadbore and counters, then drop walkers.
Blue Moon 2-0
Game 1: I used my discard to make sure my opponent didn't have anything too scary to counter my things, and slammed Gideon through a Blood Moon thanks to the manabase I have.
Game 2: I would have lost had I not drawn surgical for breach at the right moment. After that it was just sweep up with tokens and walkers.

Modern Monday @ LGS For Next 4 Matches
UR Storm 2-1
Game 1: I was able to use discard, but discard isn't enough against this deck, so they stormed off.

Game 3: I was able to thoughtseize and extract a past in flames, which allowed me to stall out long enough to build a decent board state, I managed to stabalize post an empty the warrens and won the game with Vent giving me back the life I needed to draw Tendrils for game.

Game 2: Discarded one of their companies and an archdruid. I wrathed when they played the other company and with with big Gideon beats.
Mardu Nahiri 2-1
Game 1: I was able to get rid of Nahiri early, and I even got to see them play an Empirion or two, which was great when they ate paths and wraths. Won with Both Gideons.
Game 2: They tricked me into thinking they were just mardu Nahiri, and when mentors and pyromancers came out, I didn't have enough removal for them, and lost.
Game 3. They did start with a Leyline out, but disenchant handled that. After that it went like game 1 and I won with walkers.
Bogles 0-2
Game 1: I drew a lot of cards, and killed some spiritdancers, but without a Lilli, I got killed by a bogle.
Game 2: Sided in my disenchents over brutality, but through several walls, discard, and whispers, I never found a lilli, and i died. This match caused me to go 4-1 again.
GB Rock 2-0
Game 1: Op had plenty of Bobs and Goyfs, and I had removal. I ended up crushing thier walkers with my little gideon and vent. Won with Gideon and shambler beats.
Game 2: Tougher then game 1, but my walkers dodging creature removal made his deck a lot worse, even with pulses on my walkers I went for gold with elspeth.
Competitive Modern League 4/15/2018 for next 5 matches
Affinity 0-2
Game 1: Affinity is usually a good matchup. My opponent had a fast start, but I thought by removing some key pieces, I had the game locked down to find my finishers. My opponent slammed a Hazoret on the board, and without a walker or path to really stop it, I lost to it.
Game 2: I drew a hand that would beat the pants off affinity, with two lands, sweepers and removal, I thought I had the game. Then after my removal ran dry, I kept drawing it, except I still only had two lands, and my sweepers became my death and that's how I went 4-1 tonight.
Death's Shadow BUG 2-0
Game 1: Tarmogoyfs and Death Shadows are easy to remove if you have enough removal for them, and after they were gone, walkers became an issue for my opponent. Win with Big Gideon and Shambling Vent.
Game 2: Basically game 1.
Bant Company 2-1
Game 1: I played removal.dek, and with Kalitas out, cards like Kitchen Finks become a lot worse as threats.
Game 2: Again, only drew 2 lands. Giest of Saint Traft is a fast game ender on an open board.
Game 3: I played Lilli, into Gideon, into Elspeth, as the game went on, and my opponent conceded.
Eldrazi Tron 2-1
Game 1: Multiple field of ruins made it hard for my opponent to assemble tron, with my opponent trying to play eldrazi I was able to play enough removal till I won with Gideon beats.

Game 3: I fulminator'd tron and surgicaled it, and then I went with Lilli and Big Gideon and won with them and vents.
Naya Burn 2-0
Game 1: My opponent had a fast start but began to draw blanks, as wall of omens and collective brutality really slowed down their clock. I won with Little Gideon.
Game 2: I drew inquisition for their Eidolan, and I clogged the board with Little Gideon and a wall. Won with little gideon and Kalitas.
Modern Night on 4/14/2018 @ LGS for Next 5 Games
Grixis Death Shadow 2-0
Game 1: I kept a hand with some lands, baneslayer, and a few interaction spells. My opponent discard my interaction but I managed to bounce back with a well timley drawn Gideon of the Trials. I was able to remove my opponents threats with a wrath and moved in swiftly with Gideon and won with beats.
Game 2: I had basically a nut draw, (If I had opening leyline it would have been the nutter butters) My hand was interaction and cheap walkers, my opponent drew a lilli of last hope to try and survive my wraths, but I was just overloaded with good things to play.
GR Tron 2-1
Game 1: I had discard and a field of ruin, but I whiffed on lands and my opponent went out of control.
Game 2: Solid game, I had to field + surgical to slow them down, and then it turned into who can with with walkers first, managed to shoot down an Ugin and went for gold with Shambling Vents.
Game 3: Closest game with Tron I've ever had, it was back and forth for removal and discard, and I barely managed to draw a Stony Silence to put myself ahead and win with Vents and Elspeth.
Affinity 2-1
Game 1: I had discard for Cranial Plating, but my opponent ended up getting a few more of those and I just couldn't stop all of the creature lands.
Game 2: Started off with a Disenchant in my hand to stop an early Steel Overseer from being annoying. Match went for a bit, but I overall crushed him with my walker army.
Game 3: Baneslayer turned this match into shooting fish in a barrel, because as long as I kept removal for the equipment, nothing got past the angel. Won with big Gideon and Angel.
Post Damnation place
GR Tron 0-2
Game 1: I had a decent start, I hit my opponent's Sylvan Scrying on turn 1, and was builidng my board. They drew the two other tron pieces off the top and won with a karn turn 4.
Game 2: I had land hate for days, but natural tron plus more pieces was nearly impossible to beat, I lost to Karn and Ulamog.
GB Tron 2-1
Game 1: An early Field of Ruin stopped him from turn 3 tron, and I managed to pick uo the pace with Lilli and Big Gideon to win the game with a Lilli alt and Gideon beats.
Game 2: I thought I'd stopped him from setting up tron with discard, then he drew into the last piece naturally and managed to get himself a Karn while I only had spirit tokens.
Game 3: Field of Ruin is spectacular with an early Surgical Extraction to make sure none of these awful tron pieces saw the light of day. I won with Kalitas and spirit beats.
UR Storm 1-2
Game 1: I held a hand great for pretty much any other matchup, and got stormed off on turn 6.
Game 2: Rest in peace and Discard made it difficult for my opponent to find their pieces. I won with Gideon beats.
Game 3: I mulliganed into a Leyline at 6 cards, but even with other discard Storm just went off anyway.
UR Storm 0-2
Game 1: My opponent top decked an electromancer turn 2 after I thoughtisezed them. They won on the following turn since I had no fatal pushes.
Game 2: I mulliganed for my sideboard pieces, drew stuff that was alright (even a Gideon of the Trials) but my opponent was able to combo before I could kill them.
Eldrazi Tron 2-1
Game 1: Kept a hand without Thoughtseize, and my opponent had natural tron into turn 3 Karn.
Game 2: Drawing sideboard stuff on top of quarters made this match very easy for me. I won with gideon beats.
Game 3: Blowing up a not so heavy tron board made it easy to run over with gideons and Lillis. won with Gideon beats.
Eldrazi Tron 0-2
Game 1: I was light on threats and removal, and the early Chalice of the Void on one is very annoying.
Game 2: Drew none of the sideboard, and it played out a lot like game 1.
UW Control 2-0
Game 1: Discarded an early Search for Azcanta
Flip and went through enough discard to play Lilli, and then won with Gideon beats.
Game 2: Sided in more discard over removal, and I won with Lilli and gideon beats.
Naya Burn 2-0
Game 1: Collective Brutality and gideon of the Trials made this a pretty easy game 1.
Game 2: Storming the opponent with the help of brutality and Baneslayer angel, even path to exile wasn't enough for my opponent.
Dredge 2-0
Game 1: Cathartic Reunion is a good card, and with cards like Faithless Looting, the matchup seemed difficult, but with Baneslayer Angel, I was able to grind out my opponent till I won with gideon and Angel beats.
Game 2: Rest in Peace was an amazing topdeck here, I was able to stall my opponent with walls and tokens till I won with Gideon beats
Dredge 0-2
Game 1: Pieces just didn't come together since my opponent had so many Cathartic Reunions. Lost to a bunch of zombos.
Game 2: Drawing none of the sideboard pieces made this match tough, and drawing walkers with no backup didn't really work out.
GB Rock Rematch 2-0
Game 1: After the previous game was just pitiful for my deck, we agreed to rematch. I was able to utilize my resources pretty well, and managed to go over the top with my walkers. Won with Baneslayer angel and Elspeth.
Game 2: I drew three lands and a lot of lingering souls, and when you get a bunch of spirits out, cards like enemy lilli's aren't very good against you. The game was won by Gideon of the Trials and spirit tokens.
GB Rock 0-2
Game 1: The deck decided that we would start with three lands in the opener, and that would be all we would ever draw. Lost because going through multiple draw spells and not finding lands doesn't win games.
Game 2: Mulled a zero lander into a hand with two nonland cards. My deck decided to instead draw lands for 5 turns while my opponent got to have fun. I lost.
Mardu Pyromancer 2-0
Game 1: Since we play most of the same cards, I had better top-decks and stopped the tempo play with ease.
Game 2: A lot grindier since my opponent had a bunch of discard, but I ended up winning with two vents.
Eldrazi Tron 0-2
Game 1: New guy, didn't know what he was brining, I brought what I could, but smashers are good in pairs.
Game 2: I got locked out by a sneaky chalice on 1, and then my follow ups got taken by the nutty turn 2 thought knot. Lost to eldrazi. Went 3-1 Tonight, i'm impressed with this deck's performance.
Bogles 2-0
Game 1: Lilli is good when she is in the opener, even when on the draw, I would kill all bogles and win with Spirit beats.
Game 2: Got lucky with E.E. in my opener, cracked it at the right time and followed by a wrath, I won with Kalitas and Spirit beats.
Grixis shadow 2-1
Game 1: My opponent had a pretty nutty draw, going down to 12 by turn 1, even with my discard I couldn't beat him.

Game 3: grindy match, being able to be removal.deck made this an easy match for me.
UR Storm 2-1
Game 1: I didn't have any discard, and my opponent had the nuts and went off on turn 3.
Game 2: I drew Rest in peace and my opponent was shredded by my discard, I won with spirits and gideon Beats.
Game 3: I had my opponent with discard, removal, and spirits, and my opponent started to go off, but fizzled just short of killing me.
Magic Night @ Local Store For Above 4 matches
GW Hatebears 1-2
Game 1: I drew discard, and with my opponent having cards like Loxodon Smiter, cards like Lilli were just dead draws.
Game 2: I drew a good amount of wraths and removal, and was satisfied with the results, a win!
Game 3: Collected Company was crazy good for my opponent, and they managed to draw three copies of it, which goes really well with cards like Voice of Resurgence. I lost to a top decked company that produced 2 voices and the board was too out of my control since I had already used 2 of my wraths.
Soulflayer Combo 2-0
Game 1: Draw Lilli made this matchup easy, since they are trying to get something that you cant deal with, but if you make them sac their big flayer, the combo does nothing. I won with Elspeth.
Game 2: Leylines are annoying, but so is Rest in Peace, and without that the deck was basically a bad abzan build, and my opponent lost from Gideon beats.
Esper Gifts Control 2-1
Game 1: Discard in mass amounts is great at tearing up control decks. I was easily able to discard away counters and landed both Gideons and a Lilli. I won with my walkers beating down.
Game 2: Lighter on interaction, my opponent managed to gifts their way into an Iona and Elesh Norn, and without any interaction for them they played their Unburial Rites and hard locked me out of the game.
Game 3: Rest in peace bought me protection here, the game was kinda close but with Lilli's and removal, my opponent couldn't do anything. I won with Shambling Vent and Kalitas.
RG Ponza 2-1
Game 1: I figured out what my opponent was playing, and I fetched out basics before Blood Moon hit. I actually ended up having enough lands and discard to dodge most of my opponent's game plan, and won with Gideon beats.
Game 2: My opponent had the nuts, playing 2 Inferno Titans back to back and I had no real answers and no real lands.
Game 3: My opponent drew a bunch of gas, but didn't draw a ton of lands, their reliance on ramp cards made them weak to discard. I pulled this one with a giant Kalitas.
Mono-Black Control 2-0
Game 1: Lingering Souls and Little Gideon are fantastic against grindy decks. I won with wraths and Gideon beats.
Game 2: My opponent had a good start, but began getting a lot of dead draws like Discard and creature removal, and I plowed with indestructible Gideon and Lingering Souls tokens.
Death's Shadow Jund 2-1
Game 1: I drew a decent amount of removal, and my opponent was light on threats, I won with beats from Lingering Souls and gideon.
Game 2: I was playing pretty well, then I drew 6 lands in a row for no reason and lost.
Game 3: Lingering Souls, E.E. and my removal worked even through the counterspells. I won with Kalitas and Lingering Souls beats.
Eldrazi Tron 2-0
Game 1: I got lucky that my opponent kept a hand full of tron pieces, but nothing else. He got punsihed for it while I beat down with 2 Gideons.
Game 2: With all the hate for tron in this deck now, we are able to really stop opponents from being able to Karn us. The game went long but I won with double Gideon and Kalitas.
Affinity 2-0
Game 1: My opponent had a reasonable start, but I had my wraths and Quarters, and they gave me an easy win with Gideons.
Game 2: Stony silence and more removal meant death for this deck, I won with Kalitas beats.
Soul Sisters 2-0
Game 1: My opponent basically had the nut draw game 1, and I was not able to put up too much of a fight. That was until I hit Wrath of God, then the game basically ended because Lilli and Gideon work very well together.
Game 2: More removal worked well, I used tendrills to "wrath" an early board state, and almost lost (down to 3 life) but in the end Gideon and Elspeth pulled through and gave me the win.
Naya Burn 2-0
Game 1: I drew my Kalitas on turn 3 and played it turn 4, my opponent had no real response and Kalitas won me the game.
Game 2: Collective brutality is great when you draw 2 of them. The game went well once my opponent began to top-deck. I won with Gideon beats.
(Post Changes)
GB Elves 1-2
Game 1: I had some awkward draws with tap lands and limited removal, and I got destroyed y an exuri I had no answers to.
Game 2: I had a wrath in my opener and played to keep it. I played the cards right and won with Gideon and Kalitas beats.
Game 3: Basically game 1.
Naya Burn 2-0
Game 1: Kalitas is outstanding against aggro decks of all types, and this one proved no different once he landed.
Game 2: Timely Reinforcements and collective brutality are outstanding sideboard cards, and they won me the game with ease.
Eldrazi Tron 1-2
Game 1: I never thought that turn 1 chalice on 1 followed by an eventual chalice on three could happen, but it did. My opponent locked me out of my deck and I my finishers met a wall of eldrazi.
Game 2: When you draw the sideboard cards for tron in this deck, Tron doesn't do so well. I turn 1 Quarter and Extracted for a tron piece and the game went very well fro there. I won with Big Gideon and Kalitas.
Game 3: As I said when you draw the sideboard cards, its good. But when you mull to 5 because of two zero landers in a 24 land deck, you just kinda lose to Variance from there.
Eldrazi Tron 0-2
Game 1: My opponent managed to assemble tron and Karn'd me turn 3 off the top. I had plenty of discard but after the turn 3 Karn the game didnt go well for me and I lost to an Ulamog.
Game 2: Turn 2 Thought-Knot is great against this deck, since it gets to nab an answer card from our hand. My opponent barely managed to pull off a win with a Walking Ballista after casting All is Dust.
(Post Changes)
Decided to pick this deck up again and play.
Bogles 2-1
Game 1: I was on the draw and I drew nothing but discard and targeted removal, I wasn't too happy about this one.

Elemental Tribal 2-0
Game 1: Removal & Discard plus lilli = win
Game 2: Basically game 1.
WR Prison 2-0
Game 1: I used an inquisition a blood moon, but he drew another one and played it turn 2 with a sprit guide, thankfully I was drawing my basics, and I used Anguished Unmaking on his nahiri the following turn, we both flooded for a bit, but then I got a lilli, which he killed with Lightning Helix, and then I used a Gideon to quickly finsish the game.

GU Infect 2-0
Game 1: I used Lilli to remove creatures and arena to keep my hand refueled, won in a landslide.

Game 1: The current maindeck doesn't have a great way to deal with tokens, and even with some discard he made bigger tokens then i had, and killed me.
Game 2: I put in my tendrils, explosives, and disenchants, but he was still able to churn out tokens even after I blasted the board twice, I think this is just a bad fringe matchup.
