Theros Standard mid-range/control hybrid Bant concept. Designed to curve out with dangerous creatures from 1 to 6. The remainder of the deck are interference/control pieces, with the exception of Opportunity to refill the hand.
Concerns:
1 - Does AEtherling belong in this deck? He was in earlier builds of this idea, but I cut him for being expensive, and for needing too much blue mana. However, Aetherling is of course a fantastic creature, and helps with problem #2, mainly....
2 - Thassa, God of the Sea is not often going to be a creature. Am I all right with that? Having four other blue mana symbols on the ground is tough to do in this deck, and would BE tough to do in this deck as long as I kept it three-colored, I think.
3 - Is this mana base sufficient? I have eight slow lands and eight shocklands, with 10 basics. I will be taking a lot of shocks, I feel, and there will be times when I am not fixed. I am relying on Sylvan Caryatid to plug the gaps, but she is vulnerable to some forms of removal. Can the mana base be improved?
4 - The sideboard may be stretched too thin. I am happy with the selection of cards, but I am worried that I have too few copies of my various choices. Mistcutter Hydra seems the most likely candidate for removal in favor of the other cards, but I am eager to experiment with that card. Thoughts?
