Conspiracy 2 draft, wherein I drafted Mardu in hopes of pulling a Queen Marchesa. That didn't happen, but I did pull a Platinum Angel and Sovereign's Realm from two of my own packs, and a Sanctum Prelate inexplicably left in someone else's pack.

When drafting, I kept going for decent-looking removal, as, being new to drafting, I remembered the rule of "Draft removal first". I found I was under-drawing on creatures, so I chose some graveyard return. Then I got the two mythic creatures, and, in pack 3, Sovereign's Realm , which meant I didn't have to worry about lands, which all but one of us had forgotten to bring. I was so happy about that card.

• Game plan: to survive by removing everything, until I could cast Platinum Angel, which I got in my opening hand. I played Guttersnipe, and all those instants and sorceries I'd drafted, and had been exiling for lands, suddenly looked very useful. Then the game ended.

• End result of the draft: The game ended unfinished, without a redraft of the rares, due to one person having to leave. The draft was a lot of fun. And I still have no idea how "draft matters" works, exactly.
