The main card of this deck is Strionic Resonator and it can resonate with almost everything in this deck!

Let's break down this deck and see where our Strionic Resonator could be useful.

-= Creatures =-

Banisher Priest - We want to keep this guy in our hand until 1 or 2 possibly annoying creatures show up. We can then use the resonator to double the number of creatures we remove.

Boros Reckoner - He gets the MVP of annoyance award. We use him to make our opponent hesitates. His ability can be doubled or tripled with the resonator. Can be lethal if the opponent isn't paying attention.

Firemane Avengers - Shines when attacking with 2 others, his Battalion can be resonated, helping us to control the board by removing stuff or plain beat down. Yay life!

Tajic, Blade of the Legion - Another annoying guy. Nice blocker if the opponent doesn't have trample, used for his Battalion ability that can be resonated, making him a must block especially with a Boros Charm threat.

Purphoros, God of the Forge - We really want this guy on the board, especially if we have and Assemble the Legion, Elspeth, Sun's Champion or a bunch of creatures and Legion's Initiative . Can be resonated for an extra 2 damage, might as well used the left over mana.

Aurelia, the Warleader - Newest addition. With the control we have we should be able to take her out once in a while. Why only take a second attack phase when we can get 3 or 4?

-= Spells =-

Chained to the Rocks - Our best removal, combined with the resonators it's possible to get rid of 3 creatures with 5 mana. Every remove on this card make it safer to play Assemble the Legion.

Mizzium Mortars - Nice spot remover or possible board wipe for our opponent if he got a lot of lowbies. Can't resonate =(

Assemble the Legion - Why increase by 1 each turn? Spent some mana if you want and double, triple it with the resonators. Best used with Purphoros, God of the Forge

Legion's Initiative - Boost all our creatures, can possibly save our board from wipe and can be used when we wipe the board with our Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Cannot be resonated =/

Boros Charm - One of the best. Can win us games consistently.

-= Planewalkers =-

Elspeth, Sun's Champion - Kind of costly to put out, but well worth it. The +1 combined with Purphoros, God of the Forge is amazing, can board wipe for us and her ultimate combined with an Assemble the Legion is a game winner.

Ajani, Caller of the Pride - He work great with this deck, the +1 is ok, taking our banishe priest out of Magma Jet and then Lightning Strike range. His -3 just win the game if the opponent doesn't have a flyer or a removal (I send tajic, 75% of the time) and his ultimate is GG with Purphoros, God of the Forge on the table.

Now, I would like your input about this deck, how to make it better, how to make it a little more competitive while also keeping the deck's ... flavor I would say. Thank you!

So after a good night at the shop I found out the weaknesses of this deck. Finished the night 2-2.

Game 1 VS Orzhov thingy 1-2

Was a good deck, kinda wierd, had Archangel of Thune, Desecration Demon, Pack Rat, Mutavault, Thoughtseize, Sin Collector. Was able to get starting fast and even with a Chained to the Rocks + Strionic Resonator combo on his Pack Rat and Desecration Demon he still was pumping out stuff and I got overwhelmed. The one I win I hit the curve pretty good, had all the answers and was able to win quick.

Game 2 VS Graxis dredge 2-0

I was able to survive long enough to gain the upper hand and terminate him. Ended both game under 5 health, was close.

Game 3 VS White wheenie 0-2

Got destroyed so bad, it was over so quick we kept playing waiting for the others, ended up playing 6 games, I lost all 6 badly. I just wasn't able to mount a proper defense in time.

Game 4 VS Green/white beater 2-0

The guy was kinda new, didn't have the deck to be competitive enough and he made some mistakes. Was easy.

So, I decided to make another version of this deck. One that could survive the aggro (hopefully) and give me a better chance at playing it out. I give you You only need Boros. It is a more control orriented deck. I will also make a Boros Aggro deck out of this when I get tired of playing the other one. The problem is that I like both control and aggro, hard to play both at the same time =/
