With the evolution of the game, it has allowed creatures to grow in strength quickly & with little effort. The goal of this deck is to mana ramp, multiply counters, attack, repeat. Here's a preview to this deck & how it works:
Mana production:
Elvish Mystic, Kiora's Follower are the staples of this deck & allow the flow this deck to run effectively.
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is a legendary land is worth every penny. the ramp created for this deck helps the flow out so much.
"Game-changing" cards:
Courser of Kruphix is the recent addition to this deck (mostly due its cost to purchase) & has worked wonderfully in accelerating the pace of this deck & at a low CMC. It's one of my favorites in the Born of the Gods set.
Hydra Broodmaster: a token producer that is a battlefield king if it becomes monstrous.
Prophet of Kruphix is the gatekeeper & overseer of this deck allotting me the option to play additional creatures, instants & sorceries on my opponents turn.
Kalonian Hydra: the beast of this deck & is one of the focuses of this deck. If allowed to attack more than once, he can become someone's worst nightmare.
Kruphix, God of Horizons: helps me save my mana & when I get a lot of mana draws.
Cyclonic Rift: the board wiper of this deck & has found to be helpful when the odds aren't in my favor.
Master Biomancer: the brotha that just keeps on giving. Yes, to start he seems like a 2/4 for 4 mana, but give him time & he'll make everyone around him hard to kill.
Protections:
Simic Charm: took me a while to understand the power of this card & how vital it is to have in a deck like this, having as many small mana dorks as I do.
Polymorphist's Jest
: I grant all your creatures a single of wish of becoming 1/1's with no abilities.
Sideboard:
Pithing Needle: use to deactivate creatures, planeswalkers, enchantments, etc. from being activated.
Skylasher
: anti-blue air protection with flash.
Progenitor Mimic
: At the beginning of my upkeep, I will create one more of me that is a copy of this awesome non-legendary creature.
Bow of Nylea: if I go small, this bow is helpful.
Rapid Hybridization: Removes tough kills from the board.
Turn to Frog: shuts down non-hexproof/shroud creatures to allow for the reduction of damage taken in.
Setessan Tactics: helps against weenies & aggro decks
