When asked how much power is required, Izzet mages always answer "more."

The original Guild Kits had a lot of questionable picks, while leaving out some in-guild cards that would really benefit the deck. Not to mention the lack of streamlining - just throwing together a bunch of guild cards doesn't make a synergistic deck. So I decided to make my own.
Fortunately, I've already had Simic and Izzet complete in the form of Duel Decks. I'm planning to expand the original idea to include the other eight guilds, forming an environment of ten balanced decks where either could battle another with pretty equal chances to win.
Izzet deck features a wide array of instasorceries, be it blue control, filtering or draw, or red burn (or both, those are most fun). Most creatures fuel on the instasorcery theme one way or another. I didn't include TOO MANY 1-mana cantrips as I didn't want this deck to devolve into "haha who cares about their effects, I dump my entire deck into Wee Dragonauts, gg"; rather, I wanted the deck to be more "fair", casting one or two instasorceries per turn, getting their creature triggers and furthering the game plan step by step.
Compared to the rest of Guilds, the Izzet have surprisingly few playable guild cards: replicate cards are woefully underpowered, most overload cards are simply combat tricks, which I try to avoid because of their inherent card disadvantage, and jump-start cards are mostly underpowered too. And the rest often have nifty ideas but are terribly overcosted (Djinn Illuminatus, Melek, Izzet Paragon, Ogre Savant, Steamcore Weird). I had to include more than usual off-guild cards with suitable flavor to support the spellslinger battle plan.
If it were an official product, I would assign alternate art like Duel Decks do to Thrill of Possibility. It should feature any Izzet mage doing some inspired thinking - Erratic Visionary comes to mind. Also, Cyclonic Rift is definitely not budget (eating two thirds of the projected deck cost), so it can be easily replaced with Snap.
As always, I am more than happy to provide explanations for any card included (or excluded).
