Remove their key cards until they draw scrap, incapable of winning the game

This deck is heavily focused on not only controlling their hand and board, but also their library. By repeatedly extracting whole playsets of key cards from their library by targeting cards in their graveyard with extirpate and surgical extraction, they will be left without significant components, rendering their draw useless.

Time is on your side, but surviving until the turning point requires cards that stalls the game. For this, I added 14 removal with 4 different ways of neutralising different creature threats, including sacrificing, -X/-X and plain destruction.

Only swamps in this deck, for consistency and budget purposes.

Discard such as thoughtseize and duress will let you handpick cards from their hand, package them and get them ready for an extraction.

Sadistic sacrament has been roasted in various mtg-related forums, people are claiming that these 3 cards won't make any difference in the terms of board presence, but they are forgetting one major upside of the card: strategic advantage. You get to search the players library as you remove the cards, meaning that unlike memoricide, you are able to change your mind during the search. This means that you obtain knowledge about your enemy's deck mission, especially useful if you are encountering a new deck. It also serves as a late game finisher. 10 mana you think, without ramp? If you have played this deck before, you know that the games becomes somewhat awkward after a while, often resulting in that the two of you top decks lands.

Isochron scepter and Toshiro Umezawa will let you get infinite value out of your instant cards. Nice targets for isochron scepter would be any removal or extraction spell, assuring you that you can stay consistent with little card draw.
