Why, Ezuri Claw of Progress and Simic {GU}

Ezuri, Claw of Progress is a fun and unique take of the classic Simic counters strategy. His ability introduces some interesting build rules. If you've played a more traditional Simic counters deck with commanders like Prime Speaker Zegana or Vorel of the hull Clad this deck is an opportunity to try something that feels new within the same strategy.

The deck has 2 main weaknesses.

• Sweepers and boardwipes can set back our game plan considerably.
• The game plan is very dependent on our commander. Ezuri needs to be protected to prevent having to recast him for prohibitive amounts of mana.

This build has 2 main ways of winning.

Combat damage:

Alpha strike

There are several counter themed creatures that enable craterhoof/overrun wins through combat damage. Cultivator of Blades Master Biomancer Wild Beastmaster

Go tall

Sage of hours Combo:
Sage of Hours is a compact and efficient combo that goes along with the rest of the decks plan. In order to combo you need Ezuri, Claw of Progress + 5 experience counters + Sage of Hours. You are then able to take an infinite number of turns. The most efficient win condition being lethal damage removing counters from Walking Ballista.
