I CHANGED THIS DECK, I NEED TO UPDATE THIS... This deck brings back
Orator of Ojutai
to the point where your opponent might just scoop, great mana curve, you don't run out of cards and you have a good chance to defend against red deck wins before you sideboard. (RDWs in your greatest weakness) Four of your dragons are hexproof, two of which draw cards, and two make it where your opponent can't cast during your turn while gaining you life! I have six dragons in this deck so that (if the odds are in your favor...) you should have one by turn three. (one in ten) You have ten cards to bring back
Orator of Ojutai
and when you bring it back with
Ojutai's Command
you draw two cards! (basically getting three choices!) This deck has 34 spells and 26 lands.
You can stop reading past this point if you like, this is my first time posting and I want you to try this deck, make it yours so here is what I did / didn't do / why. I had Crackling Doom and
Foul-Tongue Invocation
in place of Kolaghan's Command and
Foul Renewal
which was getting me 4 -n- 0 at FNM but I find this new combo works even better! I considered
Temur Charm
as a counter spell but I wanted less green mana and more blue mana, so I limited my green spells to just two cards. Dragonlord Dromoka I considered other dragons but I risked two legends being in my hand because they are so powerful, so powerful in fact that I put green in my deck just for two dragons. Dragonlord Dromoka Four of them are hexproof, and the other two can't be countered / makes it where the opponent can't cast spells on your turn! I have considered one drops like Duress but in the end I find it hurts more than it helps as I play tested it. I also considered Dispel because the main point of your counter spells are for late game, (protecting your dragons and not letting them cast their own powerful creature or planeswalker) but I found I need more than just Silumgar's Scorn to protect from planeswalkers and flash enchantments. I love
Dragonmaster Outcast
Ruthless Deathfang
Dragonlord Kolaghan but in the end I find this works best for my play style. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what works best for you!! If you would like pilot advice, please let me know!
If you have any suggestions about the cards I have, (maybe the mana base or something?) or cards I could get to make it better let me know and PLEASE let me know if you play test it how it worked out for you!!
I sideboard 2x Foul Renewal 1x Foul-Tongue Invocation 4x Kolaghan's Command 4x Ojutai's Command for... 4x Radiant Flames 4x Languish 3x Displacement Wave for red deck wins, and I sideboard 2x Foul Renewal 1x Foul-Tongue Invocation and 1x Kolaghan's Command for 4x Secure the Wastes on longer counter battles.
