After quite an abysmal result with a bant aura deck on friday, I have decided to go all-out aggro instead of Voltron style. Loxodon Smiter calls up some friends for some face-smashing aggro!
Creature Breakdown
Loxodon Smiter- solid 4/4 who brings most of the power in the deck. A Thoughtseize with only him in it also means that your opponent has 2 less life and you've got a beast on the table. For only 3 mana, Loxodon Smiter is one the most efficient beaters to play.
Lyev Skyknight- 3/1 flying for 3 mana who detains any nonland permanent. Evasion helps to push last bits of damage over.
Experiment One- 1/1 Evolver with regenerate all for just a single green mana. Gets scary and out of hand quickly.
Cloudfin Raptor- Just like the Experiment One, Cloudfin Raptor has good evasion and gets bigger off of ANY other creature entering.
Boros Elite- 1/1 for 1 white with a dangerous Battalion ability. Boros Elite gets the job done efficiently.
Fleecemane Lion- A 3/3 for 2 mana is already good enough, but adding in indestructible and hexproof monstrosity gives a lasting threat.
Banisher Priest- Removes threats like Desecration Demon right away. Banisher Priest has good stats too, coming in as a 2/2.
Brimaz, King of Oreskos- 3/4 Vigilance who creates 1/1 vigilance cats. Self explanatory :)
Daxos of Meletis- While our friend Daxos of Meletis is usually the first guy sided out for Fiendslayer Paladin, he adds a cool lifegain/control element into the deck. A 2/2 with evasion from anything stronger and then steals a card.
Non-Creature Spells
Rapid Hybridization- Cheap kill spell that can even be used on yourself for some quick evolve triggers.
Detention Sphere- Excellent Removal that puts anything in groups on ice. 2 in the main, 2 in sideboard.
Path of Bravery- One of the best cards in the entire deck. Makes HUGE army and then gains life for each attacking, stacking with multiples out! Driving Force of survival against other aggressive strategies.
