Overview

Prossh and his allies gather armies of minions for slaughter.

This is my second attempt at a rush Prossh, Skyraider of Kher *f-etch* deck (First Deck). I improved my manabase with better lands and more ramp, faster card draw such as Sign in Blood and Ambition's Cost, in an attempt to make the deck faster and able to burst my opponents down. Unlike the majority of Prossh, Skyraider of Kher *f-etch* decks I've seen, this one is not an infinite combo deck. Despite this, this deck is potentially competitive, and very fun to play. This deck is a burst damage deck that uses Prossh, Skyraider of Kher *f-etch* or his Kobolds of Kher Keep to swing for lethal. I've won on turn 5 (in 1v1) before, and I'll briefly detail how this is possible.

Card Explanations: Show

The focus of the strategies and cards in this deck is finding lethal with Prossh or his Kobolds. I've dealt 50+ damage on turn 5 or 6, and upwards of 80 before turn 7, using cards such as:

Xenagos, God of Revels: This card can be used with Prossh's sacrificing ability to double his power and give him haste.

Boltwing Marauder: This card can be used to buff Prossh when each of his tokens enter the battlefield.

Parallel Lives: This card can be replaced by Doubling Season if you have / can obtain that, but that card is a little out of my price range. This card doubles the number of Kobolds that Prossh summons, allowing more sacrifice targets.

Ogre Battledriver: This card can be used to buff the Kobolds to allow them to attack for 2 damage the turn they're summoned.

Beastmaster Ascension: This card can be triggered just by attacking with Prossh and the Kobolds, giving them all +5/+5, making an attack of 5 damage into an attack of 45+ damage.

More Information about the deck

The cool thing about this deck is that it can win quickly (especially in 1v1 games), due to the strong mana base and mana ramp and Prossh's extreme burst abilities, but it also has the ability to hang in over the course of a long game, waiting for the moment to strike, due in part to the large number of token blockers it generates.

Token Generation Show

Cards like Prossh, Skyraider of Kher *f-etch*, Avenger of Zendikar, Xenagos, the Reveler, Grave Titan, From Beyond, Bitterblossom, Westvale Abbey   and even cards such as Khalni Garden or Kher Keep (all of which can be doubled with Parallel Lives or Doubling Season if you have it) end up creating a large number of tokens which can be used well with sacrifice outlets.

Tokens and Sac Show

There are cards that make use of the large number of tokens, such as:

Westvale Abbey  : Gain a big lifestealing, hasty, flying dude.

Dictate of Erebos or Butcher of Malakir: Use the expendable nature of your tokens to your advantage, and make your opponents sacrifice their hard-earned creatures.

Ashnod's Altar: Turn your tokens into mana (especially useful if your board is about to get wiped, or bounced). This card works very well with cards like Dictate of Erebos.

Grim Backwoods: Turn tokens into cards.

Zulaport Cutthroat: With all the tokens in this deck, some are bound to die. Make use of that by draining your opponents for each creature that dies.

Goblin Sharpshooter: This card can be used to single-handedly kill an opponent, or clear their board. If you have one of the many sacrifice outlets on the board (Ashnod's Altar, Prossh, Skyraider of Kher *f-etch*, etc.), simply sacrifice each minion (especially if your board is about to be wiped), and in-between each sacrifice, ping an opponent or minion with this card, for lots of potential damage.

Molten Primordial or Harness by Force: This card isn't about tokens, but with all the sacrifice outlets (Ashnod's Altar, Prossh, Skyraider of Kher *f-etch*, etc.), being able to steal minions and sacrifice them can be extremely powerful, as it gets around indestructibility and other tricky situations! These cards are also just good for getting lethal off of an opponent's big minion, but the sacrificing is the real purpose for these cards being in the deck.

Unblockability Show

And finally, make your big minions such as Prossh (mostly) unblockable with cards like Champion of Lambholt (who is usually very large due to the nature of token decks), Prowler's Helm, Trailblazer's Boots, Whispersilk Cloak, or give them trample with cards like Vorrac Battlehorns (which should usually sneak enough damage through).

Haste Show

Cards like Ogre Battledriver, Xenagos, God of Revels, Hammer of Purphoros, Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots, and Urabrask the Hidden can give haste to Prossh for burst lethal and your hoards of tokens.
