This deck revolves around a couple main mechanics, firstly, to always have as many creatures on the field as possible, I'll get back to this later. Secondly, to get sac material into the graveyard for creatures like Ghoultree or Bloodbriar. Thirdly, to utilize cards like Sakura-Tribe Elder and Llanowar Elves to bring out your heavy hitters early on in the game. Finally, and probably most importantly, to use cards that give your creatures counters, or affect counters, like Overwhelming Stampede and Creakwood Liege to nuke the opposing player. Now, some creatures in this deck require you to sacrifice creatures every upkeep, namely Doomgape, this is why you need to keep as many creatures on the field as you can, with the exception of food for Ghoultree.

  • Overwhelming Stampede: This card is pretty self-explanatory, by end game you should have upwards of 12 creatures on the field, and each should get around +10/+10 with trample, leading to an overwhelming victory.

  • Ghoultree: Ghoultree is a fantastic card for this deck because its summoning cost reduces by how many creatures are in your graveyard, which could be around 3-4 or more by your end game.

  • Doomgape: Doomgape is fantastic for a number of reasons, but most of all, he is great for our purposes as a heavy hitter. He can also keep your life total nice and high, as well as destroy your opponent.

  • Creakwood Liege: Creakwood Liege is here to buff our creatures, and to create sac material for Doomgape, Ghoultree, or even Carrion Feeder.

  • Carrion Feeder: Carrion Feeder, and other cards that force you to sacrifice creatures, are another outlet to get creatures into the graveyard, mainly for Ghoultree.
