Birds of Paradise: One drop mana ramp and fixing, gets us on the path to dragon ascension early.
Sylvan Caryatid: One of the best rampers ever printed, the hexproof really makes this guy an all-star.
Talisman of Indulgence: cheap non-creature ramp. Could possibly be Farseek or Search for Tomorrow but tapping the turn it enters earned it the slot.
Duskwatch Recruiter
: cheap body on board that gives either card advantage or discounted dragons.
Hero's Downfall: Anti-Jace, anti-Liliana.
Abrupt Decay: Finally got my hands on these, versatile removal spell against most decks.
Dreadbore: sorcery speed feels bad but planeswalkers are too prevalent to ignore.
The Dragons
Stormbreath Dragon: People have been suggesting this guy forever and I finally took out my pet card Scourge of Valkas completely to make room for these monsters. They've been so high impact that I'll probably add in a third when I can.
Thundermaw Hellkite: A long time contender in Modern, arguably the best individual dragon in the format. Excellent planeswalker hunter.
Glorybringer: Hasty, built-in removal.
Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury: Kolaghan is just amazing, I don't even know why they bothered printing the Dragonlord version. This guy lets me swing for huge bursts after a board stall. Dashing him in with 2 other dragons gives you at least 10 damage beyond what was previously on the board.
Thunderbreak Regent: Back in the list after a long time away, replacing Courser of Kruphix as my mid curve creature. A lot of playtesting led me to decide that getting more dragons is more important than all the things that Courser brings to the table.
Dragonlord Kolaghan: Another fairly efficient threat, has an immediate effect on the board, and a couple nice abilities. Definitely worth a solo slot.
Dragonlord Dromoka: Can't be countered, stops other dragons for being countered, lots of keywords, over-statted for the mana cost.
Dragonlord Ojutai: Resilient and enables card draw.
Verix Bladewing: Upcoming in Dominaria. Finally another 4-drop dragon worth playing.
Sideboard
My sideboard is always in flux, my LGS has a huge variety of decks that don't all show up every week. The sideboard shown is basically my base that I tweak before going into each tournament based on who shows up.
