I played Merfolk when I first started magic many, many years ago. Seems the perfect time to put another deck together.

Usual creature spam, but I want to try out a Monument version, as Rhonas Monument seems to be a perfect addition, making creatures cheaper and seeming faster than Hadana's Climb. Kefnet's monument is also a consideration but Rhonas won out simply because the power bonus is more useful against control decks.

Still unsure about a few things: Is Metallic mimic worth it in addition to Deeproot Elite? I originally ran 22 land but kept getting flooded, is 20 too few? Tempest Caller or herald of secret streams for the finisher? What ratio of 1/2/3 drops? Verduos Gearhulk too expensive?

I know there's a "best" version of the deck out there somewhere, and I'm looking to make this my competitive list that I can enter into FNM, so feedback is appreciated :)
