Maybeboard

Creature (1)

Planeswalker (1)

This deck is a combination of two general strategies. One of them uses the value that can be squeezed out of enters the battlefield effects and the other are the super friends which act as the finishers for the deck (although the creatures of the deck are also quite capable of finishing off a game on their own too.

For the ETB effects we run a couple of creatures that build up a ton of tempo like Reflector Mage who really sets back the opponent and lets our creatures attack in for two turns. In addition to this the deck runs Kitchen Finks in order to block profitably all the time and generate some life. Kitchen Finks also really shines with the deck's flicker engine, Flickerwisp which can reset -1/-1 counters. In addition to this the deck also runs Eternal Witness to fetch up anything from the yard, this just gets even more value out of our permanents.

The deck also runs two of the legendary enchantments from the Oath cycle. Oath of Nissa just does wonders with smoothing out hands and finding the missing pieces of the deck we need. The second ability is not usually relevant, but can come in handy sometimes and notably gets around Blood Moon disruption which is handy since this is a three color deck. Oath of Gideon also performs quite well too and does a great job stalling the board till this deck is ready to drop some planeswalkers. Even if you cast this after you have played a walker Oath of Gideon still provides crucial blockers which can help keep the planes walkers alive so that you can grind out more value and close the game. Not to mention the static ability of Oath of Gideon is really good to although one extra loyalty might not seem like much. Both of these enchantments are wonderful when paired with Flickerwisp which practically acts as a Snapcaster Mage when bouncing these permanents. Ever played Lingering Souls ? Well you got something even better with the Oath of Gideon. Need card selection? you got all you need now with Oath of Nissa.

In addition to the synergies mentioned above with Flickerwisp you can also bounce you planeswalkers if you want to - them and then reset their loyalty. As to the walkers themselves, Jace, Architect of Thought is really good for all of the long games. His +1 keeps you in the game early and his -2 helps keep us out of top deck mode. Gideon, Ally of Zendikar is just a great little beat stick, he pops out tokens and he can smash face too, Not to mention the -4 works well with Oath of Gideon too, if we decide to go wide. Not really sure about Garruk Wildspeaker because I really need test some more, but I think that Kiora, the Crashing Wave might be better in that spot. I also considered adding in some off color walkers like Ajani Vengeant to take advantage of Oath of Nissa's ability with some rainbow lands (Mana Confluence), but I'm not sure if its worth it or not. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
