A "Lord of the Rings" Universe Beyond Precon, this Abzan deck focuses on the creation of Food Tokens to trigger multiple food and lifegain pay-offs.

If run by the deck's face commanders, Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant, the focus is on using Sam's constant food creation to trigger Frodo's temptation, thus allowing Frodo to become a powerful attacker that can deal near constant damage, no matter who he attacks, through the powers of the Ring.

The first back-up commander is the partnership of Merry, Warden of Isengard and Pippin, Warden of Isengard. Using their abilities in combination, you'll create an army of lifelink soliders which you can then buffs up with one of the deck's overrun-style effects to swing for the win.

The second back-up commander is Bilbo, Birthday Celebrant. By enhancing your lifegain, he'll hopefully gain enough life to reach his 111th birthday and have all the creatures from your deck attend his party. The first game: crushing your opponents!

With several noticeable reprints, such as Toxic Deluge, Anguished Unmaking and Birds of Paradise, this deck is the perfect launching point for Golgari Food, Selesnya Lifegain, or even Orzhov Aristocrats.
