A modern, mono-white, midrange, life gain deck. It’s central concept is turning life gain into field presence. It focuses on gaining life in increments of 4 to trigger abilities and push the life total to 30+ where other effects will activate.
-
Basic Card Roles:
Gaining 4 points of life triggers
Angelic Accord
and
Lone Rider
. Reaching 30+ buffs
Serra Ascendant
.
Faith's Fetters
and
Blessed Alliance
run control, with the latter being able to untap
Glory-Bound Initiate
prematurely after it exerts as well as trigger Angelic Accord during the opponent’s turn.
Ritual of Rejuvenation
is another 4 points of life at instant speed which also offers a draw to help with tempo. As lands,
Kabira Crossroads
and
Radiant Fountain
do what they can to add to the total with
Blighted Steppe
being useful later in the game to trigger effects.
Lone Missionary
is primarily for cheap life gain triggers and combat trading.
Gisela, the Broken Blade
is a beater with high combat value and another four point life gain source.
Lyra Dawnbringer
follows suit but at a higher mana curve while bringing value to the angel creature type.

Deck Inspiration and Concept:
I wanted to create a deck based around life gain that was capable of extracting field presence out of that gain. A lot of people are familiar with the Soul Sisters archetype, but I wanted to go a more original route with the deck and when
Angelic Accord
was released several years ago I got most of my inspiration from it. I chose to go the mono-colored route to avoid the price of mana fixing lands, to simplify and narrow build options, to increase deck speed, and to allow the use of colorless lands. I researched every white and colorless card related to life gain and went from there. The current build is after a few months of on and off play testing.

Performance Observations:
From my experiences so far
Angelic Accord
and
Lone Rider
are definitely the MVPs of the deck. A timely transformed Rider can put out a surprising amount of pressure on the opponent while not only triggering effects for me, but also buying a lot more time for my late game with the life it generates. Angelic Accord has consistently proven to be my primary win condition. Generating an angel with nearly every subsequent spell I cast, or every combat if one of my lifelink creatures are available, grants an incredible field advantage that is extremely rare for the opponent to recover from once in motion.
-
Sideboard:
I tried to make the sideboard as adaptive to different opponents as possible for a mono-colored deck without breaking the bank.
Aegis of the Gods
can help prevent opponents from targeting you as early as turn 2.
Fumigate
is a good anti-token option that can create an angel through Angelic Accord after the blast for quick recovery.
Oblivion Ring
is very versatile removal.
Solemn Offering
is more specific in what it removes but is a 4 point life gain trigger making it very synergistic with the deck.
Tormod's Crypt
helps counter dredge.
Well of Lost Dreams
is for maintaining tempo in the late game against control heavy decks.
Rootborn Defenses
is versatile and can be used as a combat trick, to prevent many forms of targeted removal as well as field wipes, and to create a bonus angel token when possible. Finally,
Nevermore
is effective against combo decks that require specific win conditions and is just generally useful against any card that is very dangerous to Four Points’ core functions and needs to be prevented from being cast, such as cards that keep players from gaining life.
