Animar has been pretty nuts ever since it saw print, and it continues to grow more powerful with each ruling change. I choose to play this little guy for its insane synergy with morph, dash, eldrazi, artifact creatures, as well as its "tri-color" protection, and the incredible burst potential in the french environment. With this power house being in the center of spotlight, the downside of not being able to ramp with Sol ring, Mana crypt, vault etc is no longer relevant. In addition, Animar is also strong against LD decks and Gaddok Teeg decks.
