Sideboard

Alittle Expensive Tribal Elf Deck:

Wincon:

  • Kill enemy fast
  • Overflood with green mana in early game
  • Overwhelm with small creatures
  • hit everyturn if possible
  • pump your creature for a 1 shot
  • Play your commander as fast as possible
  • Destroy enemy mana rock in early game to slow them down

Desc: Basically there isn't much to explain about this deck, it's just hit and over value each turn if possible and the truth is this is quite expensive deck since most of them are old cards and a real pain in the ass to find this cards. To begin of making this deck in my opinion is buying the precon deck cause of most of the win piece is in the precon.

Slowing Enemy: Okay so I mention slowing the value of your opponent by destroying mana rocks it's stupid I know but trust me sometimes it works but you well get aggro on the opponent's battlefield since it pissed them off most of the time, but if they're commander is a heavy mana cost like my The Ur-Dragon deck for example destroying it would make a big value especially is a heavy cost deck cause it's dragons. If you destroy a mana rock of an other aggro deck like Krenko, Mob Boss deck you would probably dead, for me Highly recommended to NOT destroy mana rocks, unless it's Chromatic Lattern or a turn 1 Sol Ring that's a whole different story.

Sideboards:

For me this is situational cause most of this deck works is tokens and even though you can get drawing mechanic and value of it, for me it's not that useful since you pay 1 mana for a draw even though you will have a ton of mana to equip here and there. It depends on your own playstyle that is why I put it on the Sideboard cause of my friends using elf tribal deck use this card. Okay this is very situational cause most of the mana cost of this deck is quite cheap and the big guns not really that expensive in mana cost since most of the time you battlefield will filled with mana dork, but if you are using this as a mainboard I personally high recommend to put a little more big creature like Mistcutter Hydra , Lifeblood Hydra , Wolfbriar Elemental , Genesis Hydra and Soul of the Harvest . Well this is not a must mana ramp but it comes handy sometime to get a head of lands than the others nothing to explain much. Since it's a situational also.
  • Birthing Pod
  • Okay this card has a lot to explain since elves doesn't really need this card since most of the mana cost is cheap and such, but if you are playing this deck with a huge creature like I mention earlier it's quite useful.

Safety Cards: Most of the safety cards are on the sideboard and the mainboard is Asceticism cause you don't really need this cause you are playing tokens anyway but bringing at least 1 to protect the "boosting" other creature like Joraga Warcaller and the others are quite useful.

Vigor is one of the safety cards as well cause of the preventing damage to your other creatures and Asceticism + Vigor on the battefield it's quite hard to handle your elves unless they board wipe with Evacuation , Merciless Eviction and such.

Mainboard: Okay so the mainboard is filled with weak stuff and low mana cost so you need an early game aggro and advantage that is why I put some destroying enchantment and artifact stuff in the mainboard to get the upper hand in the early game. For the late game you just wish for lucky draw to get your elves do a 1 shot on an opponent at the very least. This mainboard is actually a very bad when it comes to late, if in the game you got board wipe for a couple of times and being aggro-ed.

Pros:

  • Quite fast or very fast in developing the board in the early game since most of the elves are dorks.
  • Doesn't really need a lot of lands in the opening hand cause of the dorks
  • Almost 0 value loss when board wipe since it will be full of tokens
  • Opponents usually doesn't want to trade your mana dork with their mana dork when you use to attack it in the early
  • Less value when they gain control your elves since it's tribal
Cons:
  • Against Flying pretty much you are dead
  • Late is always a bad option of strategy
  • Lose 1 pumper effects your whole other elves
  • Against huge creatures pretty much doesn't go well on defenses
  • Control decks can basically bully you unless you have hexproof
  • They board wipe you using bounce board wipe like Evacuation they still have value you don't
