This was some odd idea a friend and I came up with when trying to make Trait Doctoring playable. The idea is to extort the cipher triggers and make the colors of the lands work for you. If you're lacking in the right colors, change the ability of Crypt Ghast to add mana when a plains is tapped, or something similar to that. Extort also stabilizes the life loss from Duskmantle Seer, allowing you to take full advantage of his card drawing ability. It's worked pretty well for me in the games that I've played.
