Jarad is an overlooked golgari commander. Though there are more powerful commanders like Meren of Clan Nel Toth, I think Jarad is more fun.

With Jarad, you can dump a bunch of creatures into your graveyard to make him huge. You can then sacrifice a creature like Lord of Extinction and just win.

Though Meren can be a more consistent value engine, Jared is more casual. He is more fun.

Also, it's fun to see how many creatures I can put in the deck. With the Zendikar Rising land creatures, I can fit even more.

Though the deck may run more optimally with less creatures, it's fun. I do not care what you Meren players think.

In conclusion, Jarad is very fun and if you can't understand that then frankly, I can't help you. You Meren players make me sick.
