This is a deck that I have played ever since the release of SoI. The point of the deck is to aggro out your opponent by utilising a combination of powerful combat tricks, cheap creatures and suprising amount of value provided by Silverfur Partisan.
Unlike other aggro decks this one doesn't play any burn in main deck. Regardless it doesn't get in trouble against slower decks in late game, as it can just switch to combo mode and use combination of
Mirrorwing Dragon
, Silverfur Partisan and your pump spells to in just one or two turns create an army to overpower your opponent.
This deck can really punish your opponent of tapping out or not leaving blockers/not blocking with everything, as it is not at all uncommon to hit for 15 damage on turn 5 through multiple blockers.
The Deck has had a pretty good matchup against both Mono W Humans and Bant Humans. I haven't had the time to test this version of the deck yet, but changes from previous one where quite minimal. (-3 Chandra's Ignition, -1 Arlinn and +4 Fiery Impulse main and -3 Exquisite Firecraft and +3 Chandra's Ignition side). However, if humans run rampant in your meta feel free to swap a few Ignitions in the main board.
Speaking of witch, some might wonder about the ignitions, but just trust me on this one. No one ever sees it coming and it is always a complete blowout. Just target a flipped Pacifist with it (a Howlpack Resurgence is a bonus, but not usually necessary :P ) you wipe the board, and hit them for four and then attack for another four.
I've had quite a success with this deck, worst I've done with it is 2-1 at an FNM. I even got to 2nd place in a National qualifiers after losing 2-1 in the final to W humans due to bad luck. And even going 5-0 in the swiss part, losing only three games at the whole tournament (the final and one game to RB Eldrazi). I personally find this quite suprising as this is pretty cheap deck and a home brew. If you want to make it even cheaper, just replace Arlinn Kord
s with whatever you want and Wesvale Abbys with some Basics.
All and all this is a really fun and interesting deck to play. It might take some practice to learn all the ins and outs of the deck and learning to manage the flipping of the wolves.
ROCK ON!!
