Gahiji, Marisi or Akroma/Tana- Combat Tribal

For a long time I had an aggressive Gahiji, Honored One deck filled with cheap, efficient creatures and it packed a punch...
For the first 5-6 turns. That was mainly it and players that survived the initial onslaught quickly regrouped and punished me before the deck could win.

Enter Marisi, Breaker of the Coil: same focus on combat, but more mid-game oriented and with combat control options. The deck was fun, but from time to time I tend to play 1v1 EDH games and the big kitty doesn't really add much to that. It also lacked the staying power in combat because it was more focused on getting opponents to attack each other.

After playing around with the deck a bunch I noticed that I often looked up the combo of Akroma, Vision of Ixidor and Odric, Lunarch Marshal for the most fun combats. Since Akroma has partner, I decided to replace on of my favourites: Spawnwrithe with the similar Tana, the Bloodsower and now there's the option to make finding that combo a bit easier.

On top of that, in the recent years more cards got printed that suited another of my long cherished dream strategies for Boros. Gruul or Naya: Extra-Combat tribal!
So, with Moraug, Fury of Akoum and Port Razer printed and finally getting my hands on a copy of Scourge of the Throne with the reprints, I finally sat down to build my completely Over-The-Top Combat-oriented daydream of the three previous decks combined:

Gahiji or Marisi or Akroma/Tana!

Soooo, I decided to go with multiple commanders, and to swap them when I feel like it or the game calls for it:
Shuffling for a two-player mano a mano? - Gahiji!
Too many control decks that need to be incentivised to attack? - Marisi!
Feel that previous game lacked damage? Gahiji!
Pesky meta that tricks your attacks too often? Marisi!
Go for the lovely combo that makes Odric, Lunarch Marshal go over the top? Akroma/Tana!

The goal of the deck is straight-forward enough: Combat!

  • Combat boosts: unless it's ramp, draw or utility everything is geared towards making every next punch that much harder.
  • Incite combat all around: Either rewarding opponents with bonus damage in Gahiji or simply egging them on with Marisi's goad ability.
  • Extra-combats: Most combat boost cards are geared towards triggers that trigger every combat for cumulative effects, making Akroma/Odric the Timmy/Tammy's best dream finish ever.
