There ain't no party like a Gallia party because a Gallia party has HASTE.

From looking at EDHREC, it seems like lots of people are getting distracted by Gallia's tribal ability and not really understanding how good her looting ability is. I admit Satyr Wayfinder is much better as a 2/2 haste, but attacking + drawing cards = gas!

Combat forces your opponents to make choices, most often against their plan. Getting the durdliest player to a low life total early is a great way to keep them in check - people are a lot friendlier when you can kill them at any moment!

This deck is part of my project to create 32 EDH decks that encompass the colour wheel in all the colour combinations. My stipulation on top of that is every commander must be as cheap as possible - 1- and 2-colour commanders must cost 2 (where are all my one drop commanders, you cowards!), 3-colour commanders must cost 3, etc. Hybrid mana is OK but identity cheats like Alesha, Who Smiles at Death are not.

I found myself moving towards cheaper and cheaper curves in all my decks, so cheaper and cheaper commanders is the natural next step! The aesthetic of having 32 commanders all costing exactly their colour identity is simply too powerful for me to ignore. Have a look through my Chromatic Commander Project to see how I'm progressing!
