Elvish Mystic - Mana ramp
Child of Night
- Cheap with lifelink, offset for life paying cards early on
Hornet Nest - Slows aggro, makes ticked off deathtouch with flying bees, great card to make your opponent bait into with an answer.
Gray Merchant of Asphodel tremendous lifegain known for being played in Monoblack, still useful in this build.
Desecration Demon 4 CMC flyer with useful trigger that can force your opponent to answer, great at pressure.
Hornet Queen Comes with 4 1/1 DT flyers, fantastic card. Basically a 5 for 7, worth the mana cost thanks to Nissa.
Pain Seer Cheap drop, fantastic trigger that nets you more advantage, something you dont see often in black. Great target for baiting out hate cards.
Kalonian Twingrove Fantastic card, makes a clone of itself. The card pays for itself really, a solid meaty choice for a game pusher.
Nissa, Worldwaker This planewalker is one of the cornerstones of the deck. Being able to turn a land into a 4/4 with trample, or to untap 4 forests to reuse again is just huge play potential. Her -7 is awesome for getting your hands on more mana if you need it, but until rotation i would hesistate bring out all mana from your deck as a supreme verdict will send it all to the graveyard.
Garruk, Apex Predator What is there to really say about this card that hasnt been said? His first +1 of popping a planeswalker already screams broken potential. The ability to get rid of an elspeth or an ajani for free is ridiculous.His secondary +1 nets you a 3/3 wolf with deathtouch, another fantastic skill for the decks toolkit. Makes your opponent watch out for what they block with.His -3 to destroy a creature and gain its toughness as life is pretty solid, can help you catch up in life if quickly falling behind, or to get rid of a pesky creature.His Ultimate is borderline broken, if able to get it off. The ability to give someone else a trigger that when they are attacked, the attacking creature gets +5/+5 and trample? Just screams "Why blizzard? What did i ever do to you?" Garruk is one of the most important planeswalkers coming into Khans of Takir.
SpellsSign in Blood Lose 2 life, draw 2 cards. Straight forward and to the point. Solid draw power engine with the lifelink in deck.
Hero's Downfall instant speed removal for 3 for a creature or planewalker, strong card
Ulcerate With Doom Blade Leaving, this card will fill the void. Yes, you lose 3 life, but its a 1 drop instant for -3/-3. Solid removal
Thoughtseize Hand disruption for 1B, great for crippling a opponents hand strategy early game
Life's Legacy
Still testing this, but the ability to sack a creature and draw for its power is amazing. (Running 1 of atm.)
ArtifactsWhip of Erebos Passive lifelink and the ability to bring back Gary( Gray Merchant of Asphodel ) for 1 less mana is an awesome trick.
Lands speak for themselves, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth To use forests as swamps is Key for plays.
Llanowar Wastes Painland, but serves the purpose of black or green mana.

more typical creature hate, in case Ulcerate isnt doing the job
Whip of Erebos Third in sideboard, just in case its needed.
Erebos, God of the Dead Stops lifegain, easy 2 cost draw power
Phyrexian Revoker Sideboard in to deal with those pesky creatures on board or opposing planeswalkers
