This is my take on the G/B counters deck. I started with Winding Constrictor and Rishkar, Peema Renegade when the spoilers came out for AER and never looked back... okay, it was revised a couple times, but the core has not changed. I'm a huge fan of green aggro.
Walking Ballista is great because of how versitile he is as a 2/4/6 mana drop. Then when coupled with adding +1/+1 counters from Winding Constrictor makes him huge!
Narnam Renegade works well once pumped up as an early game blocker and can proc with Unbridled Growth and Scrounging Bandar
Glint-Sleeve Siphoner good for energy bump and solid 2 drop
Winding Constrictor its a highlight of the deck to add counters to creatures and extra energy
Rishkar, Peema Renegade helps mana ramp early game as a turn 3 play with a constrictor on the field and turn 4 allows for 6 mana available
Longtusk Cub great 2 drop and synergy with Winding Constrictor to create energy and be becomes a 4/4 after one activation of his ability
Verdurous Gearhulk trample, and adds counters to creatures and can spread them out to your choosing...what's not to like?
After all that, there are some protection and removal spells that help with controlling the board like Fatal Push, Grasp of Darkness, Blossoming Defense. Attune with Aether allows for some mana fix and added energy
SIDEBOARD:
Really about adding some removal spells/ protection spells.
Hazardous Conditions will play huge as a potential board wipe for low toughness creatures.
Dispossess for going up against a artifact deck...you know who you are. Lol.
Servant of the Conduit help could be added for mana fix and added energy but I don't currently know where to fit her.
It's kind of a money thing to try and keep the cost down but also be slightly competitive. So, I don't have Tireless Tracker or Nissa, Voice of Zendikar
I still like the combo potential forRishkar's Expertise with Ridgescale Tusker and Verdurous Gearhulk so I don't have the heart to take them out yet, and also the cost thing as mentioned before.
Helpful suggestions are always welcome!
A special thanks to Bano42 who helped keep my head on straight!
