This is my current build of my Ghave commander deck, the strategy is to go infinite with doubling effects. My current win conditions are either creating an infinite board state with Ghave, Guru of Spores + Doubling Season/Primal Vigor/Illusionist's Bracers/Corpsejack Menace/Hardened Scales/Winding Constrictor + Ashnod's Altar. This combo is the game winner. You run Sun Titan and Eternal Witness as ways of recurring the altar if it gets hated out and you run tutors like Diabolic Tutor and Diabolic Revelation as a way to get your pieces. if you have your pieces in addition to Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat or Slimefoot, the Stowaway you insta kill everyone at the table. So that should be your main strat, your secondary win condition is +1/+1 shenanigans. If you have Cathars' Crusade + Ghave, Guru of Spores you can cycle tokens off of him to pump every creature on your board for every two mana you put into him. this also combos with altar coincidentally allowing you to make everyone but ghave an infinite/infinite creature. your other shenanigans creatures are Abzan Falconer and Tuskguard Captain, these guys let your team get in since if you aren't playing combo heavy you should be creating a powerful board. Tuskguard Captain gives you trample and when paired with creatures like Forgotten Ancient or Juniper Order Ranger you create very real threats that cannot be chumped. Abzan Falconer gives you evasion and coincidentally always makes your commander a flier which is very convenient. since you are in abzan colors you have access to some of the best boardwipes in the game, i currently run Toxic Deluge, Duneblast, and Merciless Eviction, i would run Damnation or Wrath of God but typically you don't want to be nuking your own board unless you absolutely have to. this is where Dictate of Erebos, Grave Pact, and Butcher of Malakir come into play, by utilizing the synergy between them and ghave's ability to cycle we can decimate our opponent's board and get around hexproof and indestructibility which helps keep voltron decks in check. Your single target removal is Putrefy, Mortify, Beast Within, and Swords to Plowshares, each of these spells has a myriad of uses from being able to swords your own dude in a pinch to using Mortify and Putrefy as spot enchantment and artifact removal respectively, Beast Within is also the best single target removal spell in green and it its upside is minimal for your opponent for unconditional removal. in terms of ramp and fixing i feel i am running a standard ramp package with Kodama's Reach, Explosive Vegetation, Farseek (since we're in 3 colors), and Rampant Growth for our ramp plus Birds of Paradise, Solemn Simulacrum, and Ulvenwald Hydra, which all both ramp and fix. for the fixing part i am running a Chromatic Lantern since it recently got a reprint and has become more affordable, all the bounce lands and the guildgates in my colors, Murmuring Bosk, Sandsteppe Citadel, and the vivid lands to help fix. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Cabal Coffers are in the deck due to their high combo play and their ability to put us ahead. the draw engine of the deck relies heavily on ghave with fecundity netting us a draw every time we kill a saproling, Skullclamp being useful if we just have ghave and need draw, Mentor of the Meek also combos nicely with ghave allowing us to put ourselves ahead for a marginal amount of mana, and our trusty Inspiring Call letting us get a windfall late game, Fungal Plots can also do this if we have gone infinite but are still looking for pieces since it provides a saproling sac outlet. the artifact package is pretty standard, Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, Sol Ring, Commander's Sphere. This deck is nowhere near finished and will be updated as pieces are added or removed, any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated!
Cards to be replaced
Rishkar, Peema Renegade is likely going to be replaced with cryptolith rites when i acquire a copy.
Naturalize is being replaced with Sylvan Reclamation as it has a larger overall impact.
Ulvenwald Hydra is likely going to be replaced with a higher impact creature like Winding Constrictor or Champion of Lambholt as they both have powerful synergies with ghave.
Other Quality of life changes such as Diabolic Tutor being replaced with Demonic Tutor or Vampiric Tutor and replacing the guildgates with better dual lands (check lands).
Considering Earthcraft and Food Chain due to their ability to combo off of tokens
TL;DR- Cast Ghave and any of the combo pieces mentioned at the top and you go infinite. if you dont wanna be that guy then play around with +1/+1 counters and ramp into the stratosphere.
