This deck seeks to be a normal EDH deck, use the commander to the theme of the deck and support it as much as the deck is built to support the commander. Though, this is meant to be a higher end EDH deck but not cEDH. Ghave is a combo machine and is fairly resilent against control that isn't going to go full on stax.

This deck seeks to manipulate the use of +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters and abilities related to them.

There are tons of combos in this deck. Many parts synergize together and listing them all is a very big hassle. I'll list as many as I can.
1. Ghave, Guru of Spores + Geralf's Messenger + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar to infinitely Undying the Messenger and use 1 mana from sacrificing it to remove the counter to reenable Undying. If Ashnod's is used, we generate infinite colorless mana if an opponent cannot lose the game.
2. Ghave, Guru of Spores + Young Wolf + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar + Zulaport Cutthroat / Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. Here we can use the Wolf and Ashnod's to generate infinite colorless mana. With either Altar and Zulaport or Mazirek you can inifnitely make your creatures bigger or infinitely make everyone else lose life.
3. Ghave, Guru of Spores + Ravenous Squirrel / Champion of Lambholt + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar + any doubler like Illusionist's Bracers / Doubling Season / Paralell Lives / Primal Vigor / Corpsejack Menace / Chatterfang, Squirrel General . Use 1 mana to pull a counter off Ghave, make two tokens. Sacrifice it for mana. Either Ravenous Squirrel or Champion will have received a counter from this event, use one mana to remove the counter they received and create two more tokens. This will infinitely grant us counter placement and tokens. With Ashnod's Altar we also generate infinite colorless mana.
4. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion OR Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Walking Ballista + Sacrifice outlet like Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar / Altar of Dementia / Viscera Seer / Carrion Feeder
5. Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Triskelion / Walking Ballista
6. Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Safehold Elite + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar / Altar of Dementia / Viscera Seer / Carrion Feeder. We get different things off different sac outlets here. If it's a mana altar, we'll generate infinite mana. If it's Altar of Dementia, we can attempt to mill out our opponent's. If it's Viscera Seer, we can decide what we draw next every turn the combo stays on the board.
7. Melira, Sylvok Outcast / Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Kitchen Finks + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar / Altar of Dementia / Viscera Seer / Carrion Feeder Gains us infinite life and death triggers (also a win condition if we have Zulaport Cutthroat) along with infinite effects of the sacrifice outlet. If we have something like Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest with this we can get infinite sacrifice triggers to grow our creatures which can in turn get us infinite green mana with Devoted Druid
8. Reveillark + Karmic Guide + Geralf's Messenger / Kitchen Finks / Triskelion / Eternal Witness + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar / Altar of Dementia / Viscera Seer / Carrion Feeder

Other notable cards for combos are things like Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and Good-Fortune Unicorn for persist creatures. Utopia Mycon can help with doublers and sacrificing Saprolings that Ghave creates to get infinite mana. Cathars' Crusade can also work for persist creatures greatly. Illusionist's Bracers is a more safe version of our other doublers because it only applies to whatever is equipped, which is Ghave. You should be able to learn the combos. There's far more than 8 or even 12 in this deck, I once counted up to 50 different unique combinations that could win the game or have you set to win the game with a single card draw (a la something of Viscera Seer scrying infinitely and putting what you need on top, passing turn and hopefully survivng the fallout or using Skullclamp or Ravenous Squirrel to get that card) albeit some of those are just variants of others with a different yet similar card. There's so many ways it can pop off with something. It can almost consistently threaten to win around turns 6-8 but can win as early as turn 2 with a perfect opening hand. Turn 4 and 5 are far more reliable turns to win though.

Typically, in this deck, you don't want to play doubling effects without a win condition ready to go, safely and optimally we want a method to destroy the effect or know that it is beneficial.

Cathars' Crusade can nonbo with Undying in a similar fashion unless Ashnod's is available. Some doublers such as Corpsejack Menace, Doubling Season, Primal Vigor because of hurting persist creatures too much or making undying more mana intensive to remove, Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Parallel Lives do not worry about this. We aren't making large creatures, we are abusing counters. Ashnod's is far more valuable in this deck than Phyrexian when it comes to winning off the combo and not the mana the combo may generate.

Anything included in the deck is control, combo piece, or acceleration (card draw or mana).
