Hey all!
So, I built this deck a while ago and it has been working great for me!
A big thanks goes out to all the people who left feeback and upvotes!
The Plan is to take down my opponents health using ally triggers and setting up a strong board to FINISH HIM.
Orzhov Charm
and Anguished Unmaking help to control the board, while Athreos, God of Passage and March from the Tomb give us the ability to stay in the game and come back from any massive removal, as well as constantly keeping up the ally triggers.
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Sorin, Solemn Visitor and Drana, Liberator of Malakir are very decent threats and help solidify our board presence.
The use of
Captain's Claws
is self-explanatory.
I have taken a look at the creatures that I am running and have come to the conclusion, that:
1st - Zulaport Cutthroat is not as useful as I hoped it would.
More than often it just sits on the board as the 1/1 it is and its ability goes to waste.
2nd - Almost half of our creatures are Vampires.
Looking at this, I have gotten my hands on two copies of Blade of the Bloodchief, which replaced the two Duress we were using.
I have also replaced two copies of Zulaport Cutthroat with Drana's Emissary.
After those changes the mana curve looks a bit smoother and exactly half of our creatures are now vampires.
We preferably want to equip Blade of the Bloodchief to Drana's Emissary or Drana, Liberator of Malakir, since they are both vampires with evasion.

General questions:
1. How competitive do you plan to be with this deck - casual play, FNM level, something more? - FNM level is enough for me. However, I would definitely not mind if it stands a chance in more competitive scenarios.
2. Do you have a budget in mind for improvements for this? - ATM I do not want to spend a lot of money on it. I guess the budget is somewhere around 20-30 a month. This way I could get my hands on certain playsets over time.
3. Do you want to keep this only two colors? - I wouldn't mind adding another color.
4. How complex do you want the deck to be? - As long as it works, it can be as complex as possible. I think complexity adds to the fun of the game!
I highly appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance!
Thoughts:
The combination of Blade of the Bloodchief and
Captain's Claws
could work great in my opinion.
It forces the opponent to either leave our ally tokens unharmed and deal damage or ramp up whatever creature is equipped with Blade of the Bloodchief.
Duress worked great, but having only two copies wasn't enough to stop any combo-heavy deck.
Now, we keep the whole playset in the sideboard and switch things up, if we need to.
