This deck functions by assembling 3 elements.

First Element: THE GIFT... Your commander Grismold, the Dreadsower give you sacrifice fodder, and gives your opponents tokens. It is important for your opponents to have as many tokens as possible so we run weird cards like Seed the Land and Infernal Genesis. Plus group hug staples like Akroan Horse and Genesis Chamber.

Second Element: THE PLAGUE! Whether it's an Engineered Plague or Plague Engineer, there is also a good old fashion Virulent Plague or an Illness in the Ranks. This keeps all the tokens we give our opponents in check, and more importantly, gives us a bunch of death triggers.

Final Element: DEATH PAYOFFS. There are the many cards in the history of magic that reward you for having your opponents creatures die. My favorites are Revel in Riches, Blood Artist, Yahenni, Undying Partisan, and Poison-Tip Archer.

These 3 elements assembled on the battlefield we can deal tons of damage, generate a bunch mana, and gain a bunch of life.

The rest of the deck is ramp, removal, and other cards that generate tokens along with sac outlets.
