Sideboard

First I'd like to start out by saying I love Shadows Over Innistrad and its been the most fun I've had playing magic in a long time.

Now to the deck concept:

  • Cryptolith Rite: This card is fabulous. It basically turns all of your creatures into a Birds of Paradise. Why should you care? Well I'm glad you asked, because I think that makes this enchantment bonkers!
  • First lets look at our lovely 1 and 2 drops that will help us win: Expedition Envoy, Thalia's Lieutenant, Thraben Inspector, and Hanweir Militia Captain  . As you may have noticed they are all humans. This will come in handy later. So the goal is to go as wide as possible with 1 and 2 drops, using investigate to fuel your hand as much as possible. Once you reach a critical mass, you can bring the punishing Secure the Wastes for a large amount, or go for the kill by chaining Tenacity with 4 open mana and 4 creatures attacking.
  • This however presents with a slight problem, we need Cryptolith Rite on the board! No problem, we can work toward finding it with Vessel of Nascency and Thraben Inspector. However, it is a good idea to have one in the opening hand, unless you just have a bonkers aggro start.

Now for some sweet bombs:

  • Westvale Abbey   speaks for itself. An awesome land that only takes 5 creatures and 5 mana to flip, guess what 5 creatures can do in our deck? Tap for mana! Get your turn four 9/7 demon and spook your opponent.
  • Sigarda, Heron's Grace will combo off with your humans (Remember when I mentioned that?) Getting her down early with Cryptolith Rite will give your opponent a hard time.
  • Okay, I'm sure you've noticed Behold the Beyond. This card is absolutely awesome. looks scary as a splash, especially running 2 copies, but imagine the power of pulling any three cards out of your library and casting them on the same turn because of your swarm of creatures.

Sideboard Time:

- I hate Dromoka's Command so your sideboard, should you choose to accept it, is filled with a ton of enchantments to redirect the lame mode of sacrificing an enchantment to something else.

  • Always Watching is just a really good enchantment so I hope it brings you many wins.
