Maybeboard

Mono-Red Goblin aggro deck for casual play. This is based on the cards I have and ones I could find locally for a moderate price. The idea is to get out cheap aggressive goblins early, buff them with Goblin Chieftain, Goblin Wardriver, and Goblin Bushwhacker, and win before the opponent's game plan gets going. Weapon Surge, overloaded, gives the whole army added punch for a turn. Lightning Bolt and Goblin Grenade provide clearing power for larger threats and finishing power. Mugging is nice as a kill for smaller creatures and to sideline larger ones to help get the damage through. Foundry Street Denizen is the usual first goblin played, and Goblin Gaveleer just loves that Bonesplitter. Goblin Arsonist is there for grenade fodder. I used to run 4 of him, but over time, I've swapped him out for better threats. I own only the one Skullclamp, which is there for draw, but it rarely comes into play. This deck can get by on very little land, and I rarely need more than 3 or 4 Mountains in a game. This deck, in its current form, seems to goldfish at about turn 5 or 6, though on good days it can get there on turn 4.

This deck could use a little updating, based on some new cards I've since picked up.

This deck inspired a R/b version, Goblins R/B.
It also inspired What do you call that? A Goblipede?, which attempts to go as wide as possible, playing things that work well with that strategy plus a few burn effects for finishers and/or removal.
