Working on a Modern Necrotic Ooze deck that doesn't rely on infinite combos.

Runs almost all creatures (except for Grisly Salvage) to pump up Lotleth Troll early game.

Uses activated abilities of the discarded cards to create an unstoppable Necrotic Ooze late game. Mortivore and Nighthowler are also heavy-hitters late game due to all the discarded creatures.

Devoted Druid for ramp that can also give the Necrotic Ooze the ability to untap himself once the druid is in the graveyard.

Hex Parasite serves a double purpose in taking -1/-1 counters off Devoted Druid and Necrotic Ooze while keeping down planeswalkers and opponents counters.

Reaper of the Wilds and Thornling are solid plays on their own, but can also be discarded to give a Necrotic Ooze indestructible, hexproof, and deathtouch as activated abilities.

Stronghold Assassin to give a bit of removal to a deck consisting almost entirely of creatures. The sac also puts a creature in your graveyard that will likely be pumping other creatures.
