Here's a little guide to my thought process on why i think the card is good in this deck help is needed! The Main Man:Mortician Beetle - This card is very unique because it does nothing to the rest of the deck on it's own, isn't useful fodder, and has no utility at all. At the same time, it's possibly the most synergistic card in the entire deck, while it can't effect anything, it benefits from most of the other cards, and that is why he is my main man.

The Fodder:Doomed Traveler - The traveler in this deck is absolutely amazing, it gives you a 2-for-1 in terms of sacrifice.

Squadron Hawk - This card is undoubtedly the best card in modern right now. you might be wondering why right? It gives you 4 creatures every time. You don't have to roll for it, its not a maybe, every single time you get 4. This in conjunction with a sacrifice outlet is disgusting.

Goblin Guide - I'm not very fond of this one because in this deck it's just a 2/2 for one with haste... I think I just remembered how to play magic hold up let me try that again. ahem I LOVE GOBLIN GUIDE. Much better! In this deck the gob is great because when he's done getting damage through he can be brought to a higher purpose by throwing a body out in front of another creature or simply sacking him to make the beetle bigger and moving the top card of you're library to the bottom if necessary with the Viscera Seer.

The Sacrificial Outlets:Viscera Seer - This card is beautiful, I love it so much. Think about it you literally can dig through your deck one card at a time and find what you need to really get the game moving fast. You can do it in response to them killing something to get that extra edge on you're opponent or sac something to clear the opponents field with a Grave Pact in play.

Jinxed Idol - All i have to say is, ' I FINALLY FOUND A GOOD PLACE FOR THIS DAMN CARD". Damn let me tell you it feels good. It provides a temporary way to sacrifice and the damage can really pile up in the long run I feel like it fits nicely into this deck.

The Heavy Hitter:Grave Pact - This will really grind most decks to a screeching halt. It really is great it puts my fodder cards to work by using them to clear the fields. It also makes Mortician Beetle huge, scary, and in all honesty grotesque.

The Utility:Ranger of Eos - The trusty ranger can turn a game around fast. Being able to pull out 2 one drops can turn a walk to a sprint in terms of damage. Sword of Light and Shadow - This sword has won me countless games especially since i can get cards that i would not usually be able to easily get back like Ranger of Eos back into my hand. With a format so littered with pesky removal it is also occasionally the difference between a win and a loss.

Sarkhan the Mad - This guy is the definition of utility for multiple reasons. He can draw you cards, get rid of a pesky creature, make Mortician Beetle huge, sacrifice Doomed Traveler to get a 4-for-1 deal (The beetle gets bigger, you get a 1/1 flier, you get a 5/5 flier, and it activates Grave Pact ), draw multiple cards, or deal the last bit of damage with his -4.

Rebirth:

Since almost all the creatures on this deck are one drops it is essential to get them back somehow there are three ways to do this, Immortal Servitude Proclamation of Rebirth and Sword of Light and Shadow . That list goes in order of how good I think they are in this deck.

The Not so Goods: Blightning - Don't get me wrong Blightning and if I don't end up keeping it mainboard it's going to be sideboard for control for sure. I really want to love it in here, but I just find myself having better things to cast for at turn three. I just think there are better cards for this deck. I might change them out for Lightning Helix Vexing Devil or a combination of three things in my maybe board.

Lingering Souls - This card seemed like such a good idea at the time but just like with Blightning i find myself searching for better uses of the card. i might put this into sideboard if people side in graveyard hate but then again i feel like there's better options.I actually just took them out for another seer and two more grave pacts.
