The theme of the deck is Dark and Fast. It has a couple of fun combo's in it. It's also super cheap money wise ;-)

A Grafdigger's Cage prevents the Treacherous Pit-Dweller from deserting.

Festering Newt and Bubbling Cauldron are pretty good on their own and have a built-in combo. The Bogbrew Witch doesn't seem very useful, especially since Grafdigger's Cage won't allow her to dig up the Festering Newt , so I didn't put her in. The Gravepurge however allows you to dig up Newts from the graveyard in a way that doesn't conflict with the Cage.

Knight of Infamy are there for an early threat and they also serve as food for the Ravenous Demon  . It's important to note that humans are scarce in this deck, so he must end the game quickly, perhaps with the use of an Inquisitor's Flail or two. In a pinch, Gravepurge can also dig up a Knight.

Read the Bones is there to dig up combo pieces. So is Darksteel Pendant . The Pendant is indestructible, which is very useful for the Phylactery Lich. Just the like the indestructible Darksteel Axe . Ofcourse he can also use the non-indestructible Grafdigger's Cage, Bubbling Cauldron or Inquisitor's Flail.

And finally, there is an exalted theme in the deck from Knight of Infamy , Cathedral of War and Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis.
