A simplistic "Might makes right" mono green deck I built for my younger brother who is a rookie at MTG. He has used this deck for quite a while now and we are looking to make improvements, I recommended him to splice white or red, but he is quite adamant about mono green, but feel welcome to make recommendations for splicing either way, I'll convince him otherwise if they truly benefit.

Ok, so I noticed that I hold to gain a lot if I focused a little bit on green devotion. I removed the Terra Stomper's..because, altho they are pretty neat creatures, they quite frankly are extremely slow since Outland Colossus is already in the deck. I replaced them with Predator Ooze, because it benefits the devotion aspect greatly and it's indestructibility and +1/+1 counter on attack or kill makes it for an extremely good blocker. I removed Evolving Wilds and replaced it with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for quicker mana ramp. And also played around more with the Ambush spells. I am also thinking of working Ulvenwald Tracker into the deck, if I can get him out together with a beefed up Predator Ooze, It would make for a ridiculously effective combo(Maybe even give the Predator Ooze Deathtouch for a sure kill). But first these changes need to be assembled and tested out in a real match.
