Sideboard

Maybeboard

The basic idea is to ramp with a combo of Arbor Elf / Voyaging Satyr / Garruk Wildspeaker + Utopia Sprawl / Overgrowth / Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, then cast a Primalcrux or two in the endgame for massive damage. Alternatively, try to pull off an Elderscale Wurm + Privileged Position lockdown combo, or cast Primal Surge into Akroma's Memorial for a huge insta-win.

GODHAND (on the play):

The Godhand above may seem extraordinary, but this deck can actually win on Turns 3 or 4 fairly consistently if not dealt with immediately. Many variations exist on Turn 2, and even if you don't have Primal Surge in hand on Turn 3 you can establish a strong board presence with other cards, for example cast two Primalcruxes for 30+ trample damage on Turn 4, or Elderscale Wurm + Privileged Position to lock down the opponent. Many synergies are available.

Sideboard Breakdown

  • Cloudthresher primarily against Faeries. Also helpful against spirit token swarm decks, or against flyers in general (it flash blocks Thundermaw Hellkite, for example).
  • Creeping Corrosion against Affinity (Primal Surge gets subbed out)
  • Elderscale Wurm for 3x against aggressive decks like RDW, Burn, Boros or Gruul Aggro, and Bant Hexproof
  • Oversoul of Dusk against decks with heavy removal, including control. My mainboard creatures are very vulnerable to removal, with the kind-of exception of Wolfbriar Elemental which requires a board wipe. Oversoul is also sided in for any deck against which it is unblockable.
  • Privileged Position is against heavy removal, so I can run 3x instead of 2x. It's also important if my opponent has any sort of land destruction or enchantment destruction, or even something like Flickerwisp which could target my lands and make all the Auras fall off.
  • Relic of Progenitus against Reanimator and any other graveyard shenanigans, like Dredge. Also hoses Melira Pod decks.
  • Vexing Shusher against counterspells

Formerly: - Torpor Orb against Splinter Twin, Kiki Pod, and Melira Pod combo decks

If you like, please +1 my deck. Thanks!
