To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Eldrazi Tron. The tuning is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of game theory most of the balance will go over a typical player's head. There's also the Eldrazi's high level of interaction, which is deftly represented by Thought-Knot Seer - its text block draws heavily from Vendilion Clique, for instance. Eldrazi players understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to appreciate the depths of their lines of play, to realise that they're not just skillful - they play in a way that says something deep about MAGIC. As a consequence people who dislike Eldrazi Tron truly ARE idiots - of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the skill involved in pulling natural turn-3 Tron, which itself is a cryptic reference to both the Tarot and Egyptian astrology. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Mark Rosewater's genius wit unfolds itself on the battlefield. What fools... how I pity them.
And yes, by the way, I DO have a Karn tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only - and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 Elo rating of me on MTGO (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
