First version of this deck as we continue to explore the Gearhulks in Kaladesh. Thus far this deck completely scrap piles 8 out of the 10 aggro builds we have tested. The only issue we have had is U/W Spirits and 3rd turn Vehicles. However, there are going to be a few changes in the SB for these two decks. We played against two control decks, Esper and a Grixis build. Collective Brutality and Transgress the Mind are amazing! Test it out and comment on what you think.

FNM Results 10/07/16 — Oct. 10, 2016

The deck was changed before the event after some playtesting tweeks. Here are the results of local FNM event.

This is the current deck we ran. The deck list was not edited correctly.

1st Match - U/W Spirits Game 1 - The first four rounds were hard to keep up do to the constant board presence. This build was interesting as it actually played several forms of counter. Radiant Flames was somewhat pointless but it was manageable with Collective Brutality. Two Noxious Gearhulks are pretty efficient afterwards and a following board presence is amazing with Verdurious Gearhulk. 1-0 Gears

Game 2 - After sideboarding my opponent fell short of maintaining board control after a well timed Collective Brutality play. Getting rid of the Selfless Spirit in time to Radiant Flames the board for the win. 2-0 Gears

2nd Match - Game 1 - I don't remember the deck that I played against but my notes specifically stated: "Noxious Gearhulk with recursion is dangerously good." 1-0 Gears

Game 2 - Notes specify that "Pulse of Murasa targeting Combustible Gearhulk and discarding Radiant Flames to use Olivia ability +++++" Also, "Kalitas defines his greatness!" 2-0 Gears

3rd Match - W/R Vehicles Game 1 - The match up we both were waiting for. Smuggler's Copter is a disgusting beater that is hard to deal with when your opponent can constantly have a guy on the board. However, Combustible Gearhulk is pretty helpful. Selfless Spirit and others is actually weak against it obviously. Radiant Flames was pointless in a few match ups and I wish I had played more than one Olivia. However, the pairing of Noxious Gearhulk, Ishkanah Grafwidow and Ever After was too much for even this aggro deck. 1-0 Gears

Game 2 - Huge discrepancies in playing on both parts. Game was scrapped for a third due to sloppy play. 1-1 Vehicles

Game 3 - A fast start is good but great removal is better. Radiant Flames, ruinous Path and Collective Brutality is just sick. 2-1 Gears

There will be a few changes before the nest FNM testing and we will continue to test and tweek through out the following weeks as well.

Ideas and advice welcomed.
