Sideboard

Now after quite a large amount of time playing food chain combo I've gained a strong appreciation for just being able to beat down an opponent with 4cmc 3/3 flying creatures who can be cast from exile and decided that it might be interesting to see how well they perform in a legacy control/midrange beat down deck, and came up with the conclusion that they are reasonably decent and so the deck above was created.

Overall grixis griffin control plays somewhere in-between a delver deck and grixis pyromancer deck in terms of game play, as overall the general goal is to slow down an opponents game with cards such as Wasteland, and Stifle while cantripping with Brainstorm, Thought Scour, and controlling the opponents plays much like a delver deck would. However the decks main win cons are slower and plays towards a slower control strategy more akin to grixis pyromancer with threats such as Tombstalker, and Misthollow Griffin.

Now before anyone says it yes I believe grixis pyromancer is overall a more efficient deck in terms of the legacy format (seriously Young Pyromancer + Cabal Therapy is just crazy good) however you can't discount the fun of beating your opponent to the face with 4cmc 3/3 creatures and the sense of card advantage in sacing a Misthollow Griffin to a Force of Will or dumping one in the yard only to delve it out into exile ready to be cast at your next convenience.
