Maybeboard

Hello everyone! Thank you for checking out the deck list! And if you already haven't, take a look at the video and tell me what you think!

To state the obvious, Nekusar is focused around a group slug mentality of universal card draw to deal maximum damage to your opponents. Sounds simple enough, the more your opponents draw, the more they lose life, right? Its not that black and white unfortunately. You see, more cards in your adversities hand the more they will draw into their removal, wincons, ect. So the balance becomes difficult in keeping your commander on board, or your threats such as: Underworld Dreams, Phyrexian Tyranny, and Spiteful Visions.

What do we do about such absurdity? Im glad you asked young padwon. We have a few options, first of which is raw and powerful counterspells like: Force of Will, Dispel, Counterspell, Swan Song, Pact of Negation, are all great options the will really help protect and control your board state. Although my playgroup has lightly shunned counterspells, (I know right?) but i still play them anyway. Our second option is to turbo your way through all the crap and just put as many threats out as possible. Any reputable mana roc will do. Depending on your budget, it is extremely important to be able to cast spells quick and often. Especially when you have a fist full of cards. Currently my deck list is sitting at 35 lands, but Im starting to realize that 37 is where I really like it.

Key cards- (Any card with * is considered a staple) Damage dealers: Spitefull Visions, Underworld Dreams, Phyrexian Tyranny, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Fate Unraveler, Kederekt Parasite*, Niv-Mizzet, the firemeind, Psychosis Crawler, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell.

Mass Card Draw: Forced Fruition, Teferi's Puzzle Box, Font of Mythos, Howling Mine, Wheel and Deal*, Dark Deal, Jace's Archivist.

Deadly Combos: Grafted Exoskeleton, Mindcrank*, Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension activated = infinite mill & damage, Ominous Seas, Waste Knot, Liliana's Caress.

Raw Power: Omniscience is almost purely a win assuming you have a counterspell in hand. Kozilek, Butcher of Truth great card that insures not to be milled. Sire Of Insanity, A little casual and goofy, but can become very mean not letting your opponents keep what they've taken damage for. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, cause if you play Grixis you have to do it right.

Most of the other cards are great support but after playing this deck for sometime, its due for a change in some cards, seeing that they aren't as aggressive or a great as I thought. Cards like: Sepulchral Primordial, Stormbreath Dragon, Whispering Madness, Memory Plunder, Incendiary Command.

All cards in maybe board are cards I plan on acquiring over time, and believe will make great additions to the deck. Thank you for checking it out! Please watch the deck tech!
