Standard* Ramp RUG (Temur)

Sideboard

Guardians of the Black Lotus Deck is getting ready for the new cycle. This Temur deck is focused on having a nice flow of big creatures on the field, while adding combos to the deck as well. Synergy is the biggest focus here. Continuously building each turn. Since I do not have the $$$ to work with 4x of Courser, Shrine to Nyx, World Eater, a typical green devotion deck with a splash, I am going for 3 color deck. Splashing in blue for extra win cons.

Once you survive the first 2-3 turns, it will be constant big creatures. Polis Crusher, Stormbreath Dragon and Polukranos, World Eater (Both with monstrosity abilities). Using Xenagos, the Reveler to add mana or 2/2 haste creatures. Temur Charm works in many different situations as its great against aggro decks fighting creatures, countering a spell if you do not have your big guys out yet, or simply to avoid the pesky low power deathtouch creatures your opponent is depending on to defend with.

The best card in my opinion though, is Genesis Hydra . You are essentially creating a 2-4-1 scenario. Since this deck is built to have mostly 4-5 drop creatures and planeswalkers, the goal is to play hydra for 6-7 mana. The best part is even against a control deck and is counter-spelled, it will still trigger its ability and go through your deck. A great combo is to have Genesis Hydra for (5)GG, bring out Stormbreath dragon and immediately attack with the dragon. Its a win-win-win.

The Sideboard:

Bring in Destructive Revelry against enchantment aggro decks, artifact decks, control decks with lots of enchantments, etc.

Mistcutter Hydra against Monoblue, control decks, etc.

Circle of Flame is against RDW creature aggro decks.

Plummet against decks with game winning flyers.

Phyrexian Revoker against control decks as well, essentially takes place of Pithing Needle. This is great against heavy planeswalker decks.

Negate to use against control decks or burn decks.

Looking for any suggestions of what I should add, take out, etc. Negative and positive comments welcome. Thank you and +1 my deck if you like it!

Decided this week to give my Gruul deck a chance. Results were pretty decent. Lots of close battles. Overall went 3-2. Losses were against American Control and Red Deck Wins.

Feeling pretty good about this deck so far. There were a few speed bumps involving the mana flow, thought it was a bit of bad luck considering 23 lands and 8 mana boosters. Nylea, God of the Hunt and Xenagos, the Reveler were the all-stars for my games. Typically people think to just block Nylea with a weenie to stop her attack since lack of trample, then bloodrush in Ghor-Clan Rampager to make them pay. Bow of Nylea really only saw action against the American Control Deck (1-2), allowed me to gain life and last longer, but overall once turn 4 hit, Supreme Verdict x2 and 2x Dissolve pretty much ended my chances at getting what I wanted out on the field.

Some changes I am thinking of making is potentially splashing in Black for [[Flesh / Blood]. However, that alter this from a devotion to green deck to a Jund with big creatures and mana ramping. Would add in my 2x Stormbreath Dragon from my Rakdos Deck. Will see.
