Sideboard

My take on the popular Birthing Pod deck structure. It was really hard to create but I really like where it's at. Seems to have a lot of answers to a lot of different situations, and does well even if I don't draw the Pod.

The breakdown:

Green Sun's Zenith helps me search my library for something I may need without having to rely on the Pod, and a Miracle Terminus is a board wipe that puts creatures back in the library, so it's not that big of a downside on my end.

FNM 1: The Pod deck worked really well actually. Even without the card out, it was still aggressive enough to hold the opponent off until I could get it or a heavy hitter out.

  • 2-1 vs Tempered Steel

  • 0-2 vs Black Control

  • 2-1 vs White Humans

  • 2-1 vs Green Wolf Run

  • Total: 3-1

FNM 2: Played against a lot more pro-level, and got pretty crushed against them. It was a good learning experience though. Mainly, I need to be smarted with what I sideboard in, and more importantly, what I sideboard OUT.

  • 2-1 vs White/Black/Red Tokens

  • 0-2 vs Delver Blade

  • 2-0 vs Black/White Tokens

  • 1-2 vs Naya Aggro

  • Total: 2-2
