Squire's Interim Challenge! Third Deck Attempt
Alright, so here is my third and final deck for Squire's challenge. With it comes a fistful of combos and a few win conditions.
For the most part this deck synergy is based around tossing cards at opponents with Bazaar Trader and Donate. Two kill methods in the first testing rounds would be passing a
Nefarious Lich
to an opponent and Disenchanting it, or tossing over an Immortal Coil and popping Tormod's Crypt or dropping a Bojuka Bog!
*For the second phase of the testing the deck could just beat-down with
Abyssal Persecutor
and have the Bazaar Trader toss it over when the opponent is at 0 or below.
The next win condition would be Phage the Untouchable, of course he is far less reliable. There is, however, the possibility to get him out on turn 1 with the use of Lotus Petals and Dark Rituals.
And finally for fun I tossed in Door to Nothingness. Seriously I should have just left it out, but I figured with Lotus Petals and the multi-colored land taps, it would be kind of funny to get a late game win with this. Well that.. and I love the flavor text on the card.
As far as defenses go I dropped Damnation, Holy Day, Maze of Ith, and Angel's Grace (to toy with other unique wins). I also figured I would use Death Wish to get my out of game cards (as per Squire's use of sideboard rule), which may be useful against cards such as
Thought Hemorrhage
.
I am uncertain whether or not
Final Fortune
will have it's place in the deck, but I figured if there needed to be a way to stall for one round to get a win early game this was the best possible way to do so.
I really like the risk that this deck takes with the variable chances of losing due to it's own cards.
*** I considered using
Lich
over
Nefarious Lich
but then I realized it would remove a win condition for the second phase of testing.. that made me sadface :(
