Counters on counters on counters.

Hardened Scales fuels the deck, but the deck doesn't rely solely on this card. It does well enough without this boost, but this boost makes for a much faster, aggressive game.

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit's greatest strength is bolstering. Since casting identical legendary creatures will trigger bolster before having to remove the duplicate, there's no harm in holding two Anafenzas (or Dranas) in-hand at the start.

Anafenza, the Foremost's triggered ability is a bit like a watered-down version of Drana's, but she really shines with exiling creatures. And, hey, it's tough to beat a 4/4 for CMC3.

Drana, Liberator of Malakir spits out counters all over the place -- even on herself. This gets especially ridiculous with Hardened Scales.

Undergrowth Champion benefits most from Windswept Heath feeding into multiple landfall triggers.

Managorger Hydra is a recent, powerful addition that gets a counter any time anyone casts a spell. It works especially well with Feat of Resistance.

Dromoka, the Eternal is great for mid-to-late game with her bolster 2 ability.

Hangarback Walker is most useful in the early game with quick offense by turn 2, but helps late-game by triggering Enduring Scalelord's ability.

The real fun is getting 2 Enduring Scalelords onto the battlefield to get infinite/infinite dragons, but that combo isn't necessary to win.
