It's the word.

I wanted to make an owl deck but there aren't enough owls/a lot of the existing ones are bad. I opened it up to Bird tribal, went with Derevi over Kangee as my general, and then gravitated toward the prison/lockdown strategy everyone has done because it's natural and obvious and good. So...this is pretty standard Derevi but it's Bird tribal, baby.

Put another way, this is a fairly untuned stax deck that will probably be fairly competitive in my tiny friend-group meta, which has good players and decent decks but no one spends a lot of money or time on EDH.
